Once I’ve converted my tokens to cash, is there a way to convert them back?

This might be a weird thing to ask but I accidentally converted my tokens to cash while I was looking at how much I had total. I did not mean to do this as I don’t have payment information set up including a submission of my
w-9. I wanted to tip them to my partners account who is in the process of getting our first payout (we collaborate). He is in the middle of trying to sort out the whole W-9 thing. I’d rather not have to deal with the same thing he has where support response is very slow and seems unorganized. Why do we have to reach out to support to be told that a w-9 was a requirement when it’s not very clearly disclosed on the website and FQA? Anyways this whole experience has been pretty bad and has us considering other platforms although we would very much rather avoid that.

If you are US based then ALL platforms will be asking for a w9 form. They can not pay out unless they have that information.

It is related to income earned that CB and all other platforms MUST provide to the IRS for tax purposes

"He is in the middle of trying to sort out the whole W-9 thing." I wonder what that means. To fill out a W-9 you only need to know three things, your name, your address, and your SSN. Print it, fill it out, take a picture, upload it, and you're done.

Just to be clear, if you want support from Chaturbate the only way is to contact the support team. You aren't going to find anyone here who can summon the manager or call a supervisor.

Honestly, it is hard to do that by mistake, which makes me think your situation might be at least a bit different from what you're describing. Have you never had a job before? This reads like someone who is young af and never worked a job with paychecks. It should be common sense that a tax form is required to work a taxable job.

Yes, you can get it reversed. You need to email support IMMEDIATELY with the following subject line:

Accidental Transfer of Tokens

In the body of the email:

State the amount of tokens converted and ask that they be reverted back to tokens.

Note: IF you have not entered your bank information as of yet, nothing will be cashed out. As there is nowhere to send it.

@AmberCutie CB is a little weird with W9's. I wasn't asked for one until I had cashed out $600+ and even then it took a while for them to get it sorted, about 7 days if I recall correctly. They suspend transfer ability until they get the form.

As in he had submitted the w-9 but waiting for approval. Support was taking a week to respond at the time and I ran into this forum that seemed promising because someone here actually works for them to maybe expedite the request and answer my questions in a more timely manner if they were active. I say I wasn’t aware they needed a W-9 because stripchat doesn’t ask for it… what had happened was I was trying to see what my tokens would be converted to in USD bc I was too lazy to grab my phone and pull out a calculator. It was after the end of a long evening stream I was tired.

Thank you. I know it’s a month later but you’ve been the most helpful. That’s all I needed. And that was my exact experience it made me worry hence why I came here

I’ve had multiple jobs since 16 years old I’m 24 now, it’s bc stripchat doesnt ask for one so I assumed CB was the same. When you check your profile/settings/whatever they don’t have an option for you to submit your w-9. i literally had to ask them about it because they never reached out to me that “oh, this form is missing!”

They probably ask for it once you've made $600 and not until. I can see a lot of their new models crashing and burning before hitting that mark.

well shit I eat my words then, contractors don't have to submit their tax info to get paid for all companies... my bad!

(gonna cause issue for those in the USA for sure tho...)
