Ukraine blew up two huge data centers. Yandex I think. Home of the Russian bot farms. So many avenues of the internet are quiet or happy, positive stuff instead of die democrats! It's heaven.

Oh awesome, thanks for sharing. Long live Ukraine!!!! I spend my whole day fighting with Russian bots on Twitter, avoiding my real work. I'll actually be able to get stuff done for once. The gaslighting really works on me. I even know that's what it is, but can't resist arguing back.

The last few days , yes. I'm also trying really hard not to go off as much on there. But, yes, imo it has been a bit nicer the last few days. I really truly believe the Russians are stoking this Gender war thing, and it truly pisses me right tf off! I've really let myself get really sucked into it.

You were smart to. Its gotten so bad! It 100 % affect s my mental health, quite frequently. Lots and lots of deep, deep destructive negativity. But it also might be the algorithm bringing me more rage bait, because I interacted with the previous stuff. Its sad that that is what its been reduced to.

Yes, that's still not something I can accept. Every time I am proven wrong, I write it off to: "Well, that man doesn't like women". But I literally cannot accept that. Maybe I'm in denial, but that's such an unbelievably painful thing to accept, and I just might not be strong enough to be able to be 100% honest about that one. But I also can't, in all honesty, say that is 100% false either. It does seem to me, often, that the majority of men hate women, (right now and all through all of human history & the space-time continuum). So I frame it to myself as "many people misunderstand each other, and many people over-generalize and misinterpret social behaviors, and unscrupulous others are capitalizing on that, by amplifying it for personal gain". Am I lying to myself, possibly?

Legally we were considered property until fairly recently in history. So maybe it's not so much that they all hate us as they've been conditioned to see us as slightly less than human.

Ex-sort-of-man here! lol I think the fact that toxic masculinity exists is plenty of evidence that we live in a patriarchal society(where else do those pressures come from). Saying that laws say everyone is equal is like saying the USA isn't an empire by definition. I don't know if in broad terms men actually hate women or if its that they view women as less and need an easy scapegoat for their own shortcomings. Either way, yeah society sucks!

The power of the dismissive GenX "whatever..." really has diminished, now that it's coming out of mouths attached to visibly middle-aged faces. Used to be a truly devastating declaration.

ETA: Speaking of toxic masculinity and patriarchy, I work a business that deals a whole lot with families, and it always perplexes me how fathers in particular really have their egos attached to the abilities of their children, even at very young ages. Like, the kid being too small to do the thing is not a failing on their part, and definitely has nothing to do with you, bud. I'm just doing my job, and trying to help everyone have a good time.

No dressing up but I usually get talked into some gruesome makeup…

I did dress up as a banana once in Toronto with my niece who was a Disney princess - that was her suggestion. Packing a banana costume in my luggage. Real fun!

I'm dressing as a classic cartoon skellington. I'll be making the mask out of a paper bag tomorrow. I bought a skeleton onesie last year, and wore it with a cool cape and a plush Jack-o-Lantern mask, and it looked great. I figure I could go for a long time iterating different skeleton costumes.

I'm actually pretty excited for my costume next year: full-on bedsheet ghost. I would've done it this year, but I didn't think of it until a couple days ago.

I'm glad it didn't affect everyone then, if you were online at the time.
The interruption lasted for about 2 hours for me. Weird thing was that the video and audio were working normally for the most part, but it was the user side system interactions that seemed to be broken.
I couldn't purchase tokens on many attempts, then the system couldn't recognise token balances (said 'unknown' balance) which meant you couldn't send tokens, and there was intermittent issues even writing in chat.
I hope all the tips that were successfully sent to models were equally successfully received in their balance.
