Hello @punkerbarbie,
I'm writing here out of desperation, hoping for some advice or guidance from the community. My partner's and my joint streaming account was banned with the reason "Broadcasting television shows or movies."
We are completely confused and devastated by this, as we have never streamed any copyrighted TV shows, films, or any third-party video content to our audience. Our streams consist solely of our live, original content. The only possible source of a misunderstanding we can think of is that we often have background music playing from a streaming service (like Spotify) during our streams.
We want to emphasize: we have never shown any video content that is not our own, neither via camera nor through screen sharing.
Here's what we've done so far:
1. We immediately submitted a detailed appeal to the platform's support, explaining the situation exactly as above.
2. We sincerely apologized for any unintentional misunderstanding the background music might have caused and expressed our willingness to adjust our content.
3. However, it has been days and we have received no response to our appeal.
The account represents a significant amount of our time, effort, and connection with our community. We are heartbroken and feel the penalty is disproportionate and based on a mistake (likely automated detection of audio).
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Any help or point in the right direction would mean the world to us.
