BBC story (yes I am from the UK!) on a model advertising her onlyfans account at street level, locals in uproar, brilliant move from the model but once politicans jump on it means bans , further regulation lower traffic imho", I feel there is a subtle move now to ban porn, not just have age verification, soon this will be part of the "online safety bill".

This would be an extension from the ban of models with swim suits advertising on the tube (metro for international users), under the guise of people with "perfect bodies" are unrealistic.

  • Sorry to hear that.

I wonder if the ad only listed her instagram instead of the onlyfans logo it would cause as much stir.

Models worldwide are doing billboards...it's a smart but expensive stunt.

Being from Aus we're in a weird limbo space because some states are in the process of bringing in Decrim for the entire industry (SW is legal here but not decrimmed...it's a whole long thing), so advertising adult content and services is a bit weird as what you can put and where depends on where you're based...and it's changing continuously.

yes the expense is interesting, but I think she got more than enough publicity/got good value for money, as they say there is no such thing as bad publicty, It was carried on the local evening news where I live. I reckon the ad cost north of £2000 this is just a guess based on size and duration I'm assuming 2 weeks?
A less racy ad with a business suit and/or maybe just a face and subtle smile like a mona lisa type smile and qr code underneath with a link to chaturbate or whatever camsite would be inetresting.

We had a similar stunt in western Australia a few months back, $15k for the billboard. The question on legality for that state was basically that advertising porn isn't legal...but onlyfans isn't technically porn...they make that clear in their marketing.

Personally I would link to my own site with all of my links available on there if I were to do something like that.

But I think she deliberately used the only fans link for shock and controversy and therefore more publicity

And this is a GREAT thing for all of us on Onlyfans. I hate when I see people shitting on them for marketing themselves so mainstream. They don't hate us sexy workers, they're just very smart when it comes to marketing and such.

Sorry that was a bit of a tangent, but I feel like more people need to acknowledge this point.
