An argument against changing your model name

If you are moderately popular and have some name recognition, it might not be a good idea to change your model name, or else another model might snipe the old one.

When you change your name no one else can have it for 90 days or some such jazz. This does give you the option to go back to it. If you have a major following though changing your name may be a bad idea.

I imagine it is more detrimental to the model using the established model's old name and I doubt any model is going to encounter any long term issues, especially not in the case of Shyutza (spelling?).

As a fairly recent name-changer myself, I can only say (touch wood) that I have gone from strength to strength since changing my name and the visitors to my room have adapted with relative ease to it. I'm still known as Fluff by friends and I quite like that.

Yes, and somewhat mitigating any negatives is the fact that if you have the model "favorited," MFC automatically changes your list to the new name.

:lol: Although that can sometime lead to confusion too...when you look over at your favorites online list and suddenly this strange person named "FilegreeVomit28" or something appears there. lol

It's nice that if a friended model changes her name, she'll still stay in your friends list and just show up under the new name. When I see that, I'm like "wtf who is in my friends list" before I realize who it is, but I figure it out pretty quickly.

Unfortunately there are some models who I occasionally follow but who I don't "friend", so sometimes when they change names I lose track of them for a few months until I accidentally stumble across them again and recognize them.


Also I was going to make a crack about how the above posted ShyTeenN is showing more skin in public than ShyTeenn ever did, but then Shyt had to go and do this yesterday:

Wondering and assuming are two very different things. I don't know what Mila (I assume you mean Milan?) has said about her in the past, and I'm not sure why her being Romanian has anything to do with it either. It was a pretty defensive question, even though you deny this. I have nothing against the girl, please don't assume that I have. By the way, is she, and has she always been an independent model? Just for curiosity's sake you understand.
