While on a tube website I stumbled upon a cam models videos. Not the first time as I know it happens. I sent the model a mfc mail to let her know with the link and she immediately banned me. Not a huge deal to me as I am not a regular to her room nor do I tip her all that much. I'll help out here and there with topic as I hate being a freeloader. So the question I have is do you ladies want to know? In banning it made me question if I was doing the right thing or not. It seemed odd to me but maybe you don't want to know. If so, why? I would hate my videos that I sell to be a on free site. It would impact my bottom line. Maybe I'm way off base but I thought I'd ask. Hope you are all doing well and having an amazing 2015!

Is English the model's first language? If it is not, my guess is that the model simply misunderstood your intentions. I had a RU model threaten to ban me just because I asked if I could post a picture from her profile here on ACF.

Unless you know the model well, or you speak her native language, I would not bring up the subject at all.

You could always just post it in the lounge, hoping that one of her close friends or regs is lurking and will pass it on.

Weird, if someone linked me to one of my videos being leaked on a tube site I'd be super pumped and thankful because then I could get it taken down.
Maybe she misinterpreted your intentions.

I appreciate your replies. Yes she did speak English so there was no language barrier. Who knows why she reacted the way she did. Maybe thought I was promoting it which would make no sense but who knows. Thanks again.

I feel like the lounge is probably not the best place to post a link to a capped show/video, but maybe that's just me. All sorts of shenanigans go on in the lounge and I can just see that ending poorly in a number of ways. :twocents-02cents:

While her reaction is uncommon, I recall at least two other member who had a similar problem. Why the model reacted that way, I couldn't say.

I used to let models know when I came across their video fairly frequently. For the last year or two, I've only bother for a handful of models where I am regular tipper in their room. I also only am doing it for videos that a models has actually filmed of herself and is selling. So basically no caps of their shows. Finally, I ask the model if she cares some don't

For a variety of reasons, videos are hard to taken down/seldom get taken permanently. So are you the right thing morally? absolutely. Will actually make much of difference in models bottom line? probably not :(

Why, why would you post it in the lounge of all places... :woops:

OP, I think you did the right thing and it was rude of her to ban you. I'm grateful when people send me links to reuploaded pics/vids/shows of me so that I can get them taken down, whether those people are regulars or not.
I don't see how she could misinterpret you, either. surely if you had bad intentions you wouldn't want her to take the video down and therefore not message her at all?

Maybe this was the first time that someone informed her about a video of her being reuploaded somewhere and she panicked because he wasn't aware that that happens. :?

I dont think you did anything wrong. Personally I like to know even though from what I've gathered cant really do mich to get the videos taken down. It makes me more irritated when it doesn't even promote me in anyway... just says iI'm some random black teen (which is so far from the truth lol) at least then it goves a few ppl a chance to possibly pay for something in the future

I think Jupiter was making jokes, youse guise.

Sometimes I get annoyed when I get 10 MFC mails or PMs about the same video on the same site, but I wouldn't ban a person for telling me about it. I usually will reply something short like "yep I'm everywhere! haha!" or just ignore it if I'm busy.

The thing that bothers me most is that it's usually messages from people I have never spoken to or had in my room before. Sad that the only reason they'd talk to me is to report vids being posted.

But I wonder if maybe your wording of the message confused her and made her think you were up to evil. Outside of that, no idea why a girl would ban ya over it.

I agree with Kat....I think it is a nice thing to do and I know I appreciate it bc there are a lot of tube sites and one person cannot check them all :twocents-02cents:

Hey SpencerStorm, I just posted a new thread https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/viewt ... 28&t=19853 where I'm looking to attribute models to videos uploaded on tubes so we can start pushing content across to the cam sites from individual videos.

I worked for 4 years at a company that ran "tubes" and saw the transition away from user uploaded content to CPP programs (like http://content.porntube.com).

For better or for worse the tubes have the lions share of the traffic these days and I know many production companies that have seen massive uptick from working with the tubes.

Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

I reaaaallllyyy feel like you misinterpreted the reason for wanting to be notified :?

I appreciate when a member tells me privately in an MFC mail that a video has been put on a tubesite, because I want to have it removed ASAP. Although I do get a bit :( when someone is essentially telling me "Hi I watched your videos and wont be tipping for it"

If you posted it in the lounge I could see why she'd ban. From her end, it probably looked like "Oh wow, heres this guy spreading my stolen videos for thousands of people to see, now theres even more people who don't need to tip for it, what a jerk!" combine that with a bit of miscommunication and I can see where she misunderstood your intentions.

I think a communication issue happened here.

Privately letting the model know = Great, appreciated
Posting the link in her chatroom or the lounge = PLZ NOOO. Don't do that
