I updated my Evo to Froyo yesterday.
Sweetness is that Flash means I can now view MFC on it.
However, it's only semi-sweet.

For some reason it hangs and won't work if I'm logged in.
It works fine if I stay as a guest, but logging in leaves me hanging at "Connecting to myfreecams"

Anybody using an Android device with full success?
Any suggestions?

i have a driod but i never tried to log in mfc with it XD though i did watch porn once just to see if i could

No android here (sadly) but I just gotta point out that there has been 3gp porn for a WHILE now that you could download to your phone and watch. As far as streaming it goes, I think my Blackberry (Tour) can do it in a roundabout way but haven't tried.

I have APPLE PRODUCTS

Never mind. I can just play with my apps while you go on MFC

i have droid incredible and have not been able to get mfc to work yet......then again I haven't spent much time with it.

No Android here, Just thought I'd add...

If anybody has an iPhone, Theres an app called "Cloud Browser" that runs Flash pretty well. Its an annoying app overall but if you DESPERATELY need to see whats going on MFC, I guess this is the app for you.

Check it out.

update: It still works fine if I stay as a guest.
Logging in no longer leaves me hanging at "Connecting to myfreecams".
However, what it does now (quite oddly) is allow the video to come through and leaves the top banner on.
Chat is missing, as are the links on the right side of the page.

So, if I'm logged in I can't chat or tip or access my friends list - which, of course, you need to be logged in to do!

I have a low end droid but I am rooted and oc'd. I have a custom rom with flash 10.1 but I also get stuck at the connecting to MFC screen. It doesnt even load the field for login at the top. Just a plain green background. :(

MFC works well on my Nexus One... almost better than on my pc!
Which version of Android?

I find the Nexus One is not sold at a competitive price. I saw other Android phone with similar hardware specs at hundreds of bucks cheaper.

In theory, same Android version should mean equal support (if the hardware is similar)?

Similar spec Android phones are sold with 2-year contracts subsidizing the price and locked to the carrier, that's why you can find them for so much cheaper.

Froyo (Android 2.2) brings along Flash 10.1 support with it on most Android phones, which is what you need to get on MFC. There are several phones that can run Froyo + Flash 10.1 on cooked ROMS, but officially it's just the Nexus One and HTC Evo 4G that I know of. There may be more, updates are coming out every day.

Samsung Vibrant.... but no flash :(

These phones were shipped with 2.1

I keep meaning to meetup with my friend who could root the phone for me and put 2.2 with flash on there.

Does anyone have any other ways of putting flash on there without rooting and going to 2.2?

I dont mind cooking the ROM, I have a cooked Windows ROM on my HTC Touch HD, but the contracts put me off. Additionally, by cooking the ROM, usually the lock is removed.

Guess I will wait for a while until a decent android with decent flash support is available...

If Android holds its promise of compatibility and interoperatibility, the (cooked) android roms should run on all android phones, at least the ones which come with the same version number.
Anyone any experiences?

I have a nexus 7, and mfc was using gifs for video feeds. streamate had its own android app, but it wouldn't work with flash because flash is only supported using firefox/firefox beta! I'm using 4.2.1 the newest version. other than that, I like my android

Yeah when I updated my galaxy tab 10.1 I got the same MFC experience, aka a slide show. Adobe flash isn't available for Jellybean, Adobe has stopped support for Android, Jobs was right, flash has no future. So you need to install an older version of flash, it then works very well. I don't remember what I did, except google for a solution. A quick google gives this youtube that may help.

I have a droid, and MFC never worked with the built-in browser. However, once I downloaded the dolphin browser, it works perfect. Chat, video, everything. So that's pretty cool.

My HTC EVO 4G runs MFC just fine. I'm using the standard browser that came pre-installed on the phone. The OS says its running ver. 2.3.5.

well, as far as i know, flash appears to be installed on my nexus 7, but I can't use it. I tried testing it out, but it said it wasn't installed in firefox/firefox beta. would opera work?

another interesting thing I noticed was when I went to streamate, they have an app for android... when will mfc?

android OS jellybean (os 4.2.1) is the newest version. anything below 4.0 is considered ancient. has your carrier updated the software yet? if not, I would call 611 and ask.

If you get sound then flash is working, the quality of the video is dependent on your download rate and maybe browser. I use Opera Mobile usually.

If no sound, then I'd trash flash and try installing it again.

i have a relatively old sony ericsson xperia arc.. and it works wonderful over here
maybe it's the internet? i only use it in bed... but with wifi.. not my mobile connection
says i run 2.4.3

it only works with firefox as long as you have flash installed, but I found out that I couldn't change the flash settings anymore, and on mfc, there was no audio coming from flash...

I'm running android 4.3 on a 2012 nexus 7, but I'm getting a replacement next week as my unit had defective memory!

I can see MFC on my Nexus 4 running 4.3 with Firefox/Flash and the sound and video work fine. There are other browsers I haven't tried that are also reputed to work. Dolphin is another that's supposed to work with MFC, but I've not used it on this phone.

dolphin no longer supports flash, and my firefox is coming up with the HTML version of MFC for some reason... I'm getting a replacement Nexus in 2 weeks!

Try this. UNinstall any and all flash and Dolphin browser versions you have currently installed. Allow for side loading on your device however you do it specifically for yours. Download the two links at the bottom. Install the Flash first. Then install the Dolphin. These are older versions of both that still worked together great. You should be able to then allow the Dolphin to update to the latest version.

I have the latest Dolphin and it still works with the flash to run MFC just fine, full video (including full screen and windowed) sound and pm's in pop up tabs). Just checked before writing this. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to keep a copy of both so if you need to redo it or install on a new device you can start over from these working ones. I'll try to keep the links active since they aren't big files but dropbox has a daily limit of 20GB bandwidth for free users and I do use it for 'other reasons' so I may have to get rid of these if I start getting suspended from them a lot.

Just an update. As of the most recent Firefox update, Flash no longer works with that browser under Android 4.4. It did under 4.3, but that was then. Dolphin Browser, with the most recent Flash apk still does, however. :thumbleft:

hello all.

I had similar problems logging in as previous. Even with flash installed and checked on the adobe website (amongst others), it was still cracking the shits.

Figured out that it was two problems.
1. it wasnt connecting on mfc in general, not even loading the models
2. if it magically DID connect, it would still only give the choppy no sound no flash feed.

I tried multiple browsers and kept coming up with the same two problems, although, not together.

Fixed it with this. Stopped using chrome and the stock browser. Chrome itself has flash built in, still didnt work. Stock browser makes me want to throw my devices at a homeless person (im a prick, sue me).

If i changed my browser to opera mobile or firefox, it wouldnt connect to the models, if i used chrome or stock, it would connect but would give choppy feed (even with flash installed).

SO! Fixed it by using the ajax connection mode that mfc has which would get me to the model screen, and using a browser that had flash working.

Install old flash apk (from above) using a browser that isnt chrome or stock, all of them are good choices, make sure you check that your adobe flash player will play the test flash on here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Go to mfc using myfreecams.com/?conn_mode=ajax#homepage
(without the homepage works just as well, but obviously, it can be changed for whatever models name you want)

As long as flash player was working, the ajax mode connected me without a problem on multiple devices.

Hope that helps you and any homeless people you might throw your devices at.

EDIT : THIS IS FOR ANDROID 4.1 ;)
Opera Mobile v.18.0.1290.67495
Dolphin Browser (running in android mode) 8.5.1
Firefox Mobile v26.0.1
all working
