AVN in Vegas

I see camgirls and fans have taken up residence in Vegas this week for the AVN convention and associated events. Has anyone been and would be willing to share what the experience is like? Is it a welcoming environment for fans? Is it at all awkward being around the models you've come to "know" via the computer screen?

I'm trying to remember what year I went. It was when AVN and CES were going on at the same time at the Sands Expo Center. It was unhinged insanity and a lot of fun.

I'm in Vegas now for the second time - I'd say it's a bit hectic at the convention (since there's a ton of people), but all the models I've talked to are always super welcoming and cool (you just need to sort of ignore the random people interjecting to take pictures). As for awkwardness, I guess it depends on both people involved, but it hasn't been awkward for me (as a super shy person), even though for example I was behind the camera while @NataliaGrey and @Miss_Lollipop were on cam today and yesterday, respectively.

It depends. The girls are cool, if you're cool. If you act a perv and just say "lemme see your ______" then they (rightfully so) get put off. But if you're cool and just say "Hey I'm Kolby, I'm a big fan, would you mind if I grabbed a picture?" I've never had a girl cop attitude. Most of them will give you a generous hug.

Well, I should preface this with that this is my experience with adult film stars, dunno about cam girls as I've only had limited exposure with them.

If you go to these things and you don't typically handle your liquor well.. please don't drink. There were way too many drunk dudes grabbing at my friends on saturday. I was glad i dressed down.. but i shouldn't have to.

It's pretty welcoming - but it's super hectic, and hard to have a conversation etc. Pics, a hug, get something signed etc. If you want to really HANG out with models you know many (not all) attend stuff like the afterparties, or offer date raffles, meet and greets etc.


On wed i got to cum thru my pants in front of a giant ass room full of people so that was fucking awesome. Also you can get mfc swag. which makes you cool and stuff.

I went to AVN for the first time this year, and it was amazing! I had no idea what to expect. The whole event was very surreal, very Vegas – although I know how to look sexy on cam without much in the way of clothing, I am not what you'd call "girly" or "glamorous" in my regular everyday life, so I was stressed out about what to wear so I'd clearly look like talent while at the show. This event made me feel very glam, like a pornstar, and it was a lot of fun camming straight from the CB booth in the expo hall. People were taking photos and phone videos of me (it was crazy!) I had business cards I'd made for the event, and was giving them out to people during the show... hope it got me some new viewers

If you're attending as a fan, as long as you are respectful and nice (don't be creepy!) then camgirls enjoy meeting fans at the event – at least I do, and the other girls camming at the CB booth seemed this way as well. I was only annoyed once, at one guy who asked me repeatedly to show my buttcrack for a photo (fuck off, dude...) but otherwise most of the men were fine, including one cool guy who tipped me really well during my expo hall show while standing right nearby. The expo hall is indeed very hectic as @Miss_Lollipop mentioned, tons of people and lots of loudness and noise. The show lasted just as long as it needed to – I'm happy to be home now, but I'm definitely glad I attended.

I loved meeting other camgirls and making new friends, getting neat swag and having an excuse to strut around in public in my platform heels. It was also amazing to meet some of my favorite porn stars at the show. Asa Akira gave me a huge hug, Joanna Angel told me I should make porn for her company Burning Angel (I almost died when she said that). Lexi Belle was adorable as you'd expect, and I even met the infamous cam star Kendra Sunderland (she was really nice and seemed like a rad person).

I'm not yet sure if I'll go back next year, but I'll definitely consider it!

My question is how do you get invited to go ?? I LOVEEE vegas and would seriously die to go there as a cam girl. It's probably my main goal to get popular enough to go to a show in vegas. Its a dream of mine- I know i'm lame !! So, how can I make my dream come true?? Whats the criteria to get invited to go the the show AS a yourself. If that makes sense. Any advice is helpful Thanks ladies

You just have to be a registered model on MFC and send them an email.

Send MFC an email. You don't get paid to go but you do get an exhibitor pass for free - plus mfc swag, and MFC throws models only parties where there's free booze. This year they also got models into the fancy avn afterparties in fancy pants clubs with bottle service. OH and the free swag.

Just email the support email - let them know which show you're attending. You don't need to do this till a few months ahead of the show date.

a bunch of cheap shit made in china that they put their logo on. This year there were myfreecams off brand hitachis. Lighters. token noise makers. alarm clocks. USB lights. USB charging ports. Panties ..with a variety of stuff on them. two kinds of swim suit. Tshirts. Tank tops. Socks. plastic yellow tokens. pens. pencils. sunglasses. tiny keychain working hitachis, bumper stickers. mouse pads. mugs. shotglasses. coasters. and probly some other stuff I didnt notice.

Yup thats right. You also need to cover any expenses for a significant other if you bring one.
