When using a DSLR to stream, do you leave the camera in auto-focus or do you manually focus/set the f-stop on the target range?

I dont use a DSLR camera currently. I have just checked the prices for cameras and figured that 2k is not enough for a camera. So i dont really have a budged, i just want to buy a camera with a good quality, maybe around 5 thousand ?
