Now that i have my laptop I'm going to start blogging. I didn't before because I simply didn't get enough time on our shared computer to keep up with one.

SO I'm not really sure what blog site to use. what does everyone else use?

thanks in advance for your help. <3

I really don't like tumblr for text based blogs, and people can easily reblog your pictures on there so that's something to think about. I'm considering going with blogspot. Wordpress seems good too. But I haven't looked into it that much yet.

Wordpress has been pretty solid for me for the past two years or so. They have links to upload directly to Facebook or Twitter or most any other social drizzle. I can't think of any problems I've had other than navigation, but that was mostly being new and learning the lay of the land.

I paid for squarespace.com which I plan on doing more with it i.e. setting up e-commerce for paintings and stuff, creating login for members.

When I had blogger some mega biotch marked me as spam, and they closed my account and wouldn't let me re-open it.

Would anyone be interested in doing a group blog? I was thinking of setting it up as a subdomain on my site (at first, then getting it's own domain and advertising when I get paid). I think it would be a good option either for extra advertising or for those who do not have time to maintain a full blog themselves. It also kinda guards against getting shut down by free blog servers.

If you are going to post sexy pictures (I'm not even talking about nude pictures), then...

Wordpress might close your blog. If it has nude pictures it will close. From Wordpress staff:
Please note that commercial marketing is not permitted - many blogs with adult images are used as advertising or SEO for commercial porn sites. Such blogs are promptly suspended
You may post as amateur, but as you are a MFC model, they will probably consider this as advertising.

Blogspot will tag your blog as adult and people will get that annoying message every time they visit your blog. They don't close adult blogs, but seems that if someone report you as spam, they will close. Even if you are not spamming.

If you just want a blog and don't want headaches with strict rules and trolls reporting you, get your own server. For $3/mo you can get a decent server and install wordpress.

They don't let you remove the "squarespace" from the URL and be only felicityhere.com ?

Many hosts that are cheap on the per month basis have packages that are literally "1 click install" of whatever. Just check their TOS carefully too, as it may say no pornographic images - so it'll be worth ensuring what you plan on posting doesn't contravene rules.

As for wordpress or any other blogging platform - once it is running, keep it up to date. This means keep it up to date in the strictest sense - sign up to receive notifications about updates :) Many sites get "hacked" as people don't update the software due to issues fixed in patches and releases etc. Any software you do choose to go with will undoubtedly have a forum somewhere that gives hints on improving shared hosting security - so read around carefully :)

I would use Tumbler, they do not restrict what you post (nudity? sex? porn? go right ahead! haha) I use tumbler it is pretty popular which is great for a blog area for a cam model. You can also link directly to twitter when you blog it posts on your twitter with a link =) Plus it is free...a great way to start out and gain followers!

Here is muh tumbler: http://missvikki-kitty.tumblr.com/

Good luck!
