Found a very cool video just now that did such a delightful job of explaining some of the Christmas traditions in U.K. that didn't last this side of the pond, that I had such a goofy smile on my face that I can imagine I looked quite creepy.(but it felt quite nice so I'm sharing.)
Instead of putting it in the funny videos thread, I started a "British Vs American" thread b/c I think learning the differences from the U.K., and other English speaking nations is very cool. (and yes I did just hear that collective snicker that I seem to think us yanks speak English.) I think we had a thread that explored the differences in lexicon, but I could not find it. I remember it was a lot of fun, though it left questions unanswered. Like why hasn't some British comedian done a skit or written a joke about a secret US military base called camp wanker? Or america comic told of the trouble he got in after hooking up with a British dame in London when she told him to give it to her hard in the fanny? Well, here's the video, if it inspires you, share.
