I recently got Bulletstorm and played it all the way through. Figured I would share a few thoughts I had on the game. (Not putting any spoilers into the thread)

WEAPONS
The arsenal you had throughout the game was relatively small compared to other FPS games, but each weapon was able to upgrade a *special* attack, which kept it interesting. Along with your weapon arsenal, you got an electric leash which allowed you to pull objects or mobs to you (or into obstacles to kill mobs). That alone was fun.

ACHIEVEMENTS
If you are an achievement whore, the game had some great ones. I was constantly trying to kill in different ways to score a different achievements,

DIALOGUE
Now this was the best feature of the game IMO......for awhile. The crude witty humor had me laughing a lot, but after awhile it kinda felt like it was just put there as filler. (if you like dick jokes, you will love it)

GRAPHICS
Amazing graphics. Awesome vistas and just a real good job on the scenery.

STORYLINE
The story was typical and left wide open for a sequel, but the dialogue made up for it.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, it was a very fun game. Like I said, it was left open for a sequel, so I am sure there will be another.
Will I play the sequel? Sure
Was it the best FPS I even played? Not at all, but I had no regrets playing it and will leave it installed on my computer and play it over again in the future.

I enjoyed the demo, enough to put it on my Gamefly queue at least not quite enough to buy it.

I loved Bulletstorm to bits, myself. I went in mostly ecpecting an okay basic shooter with a gimmick, but the game turned out to be more than the sum of its parts.

All that trick shooting and messing about was hystericaly fun at its best, and "merely" kept the action more engaging than it would've been without it at its worst. Attaching a flail grenade to a guy, kicking him off a ledge and exploding him in mid-air never got old.

As for the plot, I actually didn't find it all that typical. Usually in FPS games there are huge things at stake, you're saving at least a city or a country if not the whole planet, but Bulletstorm was a very personal affair from start to finish. I liked that.
And I agree, the dialogue was great. I loved how the characters kept on with the banter, it made them seem so much more human, especially as the voice acting was excellent.
Also, I do like dick jokes when they work, and here they worked; The first meeting with Trishka instantly became a classic scene in my books.

I don't consider graphics all that important, but I have to admit some of the sceneries were pretty damn impressive.

All in all, I'd give this game an 8½ outta 10. Would easily be a 9 if the game wasn't, typically of a modern FPS, so damn short. Slightly less utterly linear level design wouldn't hurt either.
