i think we can savely say.. a big chunk of the camscore is secret.. obviously it has to do with tokens and rating/admire
but there is still something we dont know.. that also counts in the score...

lol i think thats what makes it so frustrating...

The only time I got a quick response (within a few hours) from model support is when I asked about the rate/admire function and it's affect on cam scores... and I was told it DOES NOT have an effect on the score what_so_ever. I wish I could find the email to share but it's been a while.

Admires don't help the score but the star ratings do go towards it. Along with ratings after privates.

All I know is working on MFC and doing all this Networking(twitter, FB and Forums) has rattled my brain and made me realize I don't know that much about computers as I thought! I'm contaminating taking a few classes so I can understand more...even in this thread I'm lost a bit. I know what IP Address is but hiding it manipulate it I would not know the first thing about this, nor did I realize that studios existed in USA just thought it was a Europe thing also why they would not prefer to work on here by themselves. I don't get also how to do a split cam so i can work on several sites...with the number of girls online at a rise I'm contaminating going back to school so I know how to do all these html code, design plus all this tech stuff I hear on here and on site, never did I think getting naked would mean taking a class or too to be a top notch model lol. I hate the unknown too it really bothers me that MFC don't share the book of cam scores rating system with us girls... I have caught myself studding other girls and how they fluxuate with cam scores...all I know mfc could make a killing on sharing the book of camscores lol girls would pay top dollar to read that book :p.

I was just thinking the same thing Amber. You just beat me to it :p

And I know you appreciate the green markups done in paint.

I just noticed it now. And the other model (GirlForBoy) is tagged as new model (joined this month) and she has 20773.6! Someone just told me that today is the first day of KamillaXXX and she has 5662 points!

LilyPink is right, these studios have the camscore all figured out. It is too damn obvious. Too bad for who work hard.

Let's see how many points these girls will have within few days or weeks.

they are either tipping the account up before the model goes on cam or paying MFC directly, because MFC is complacent to this issue.

I think 2 things are happening.

1. MFC is arranging it so that studio accounts with revolving girls get a "new model" tag when a new girl is on that account.

2. The studios are investing tokens as offline tips in both new and old studio accounts before debuting a new girl. I'm really curious if they somehow offset that investment by not paying the new girl until a certain quota has been met or something along that line. Like a "hey we'll give you a bump to get you higher traffic, but you'll have to make X before you see a profit". Maybe they have a choice to be high on the page and possibly make more, or not take that bump and just earn regularly, but lower on the page. :?:  Who knows!?

I'm not sure I understand that I understand the reasoning behind tipping up a model. In the long run, the model will be successful or not depending on how well she connects with members. If the studios invest the kind of coin required to buy the model 5-10k points or more, it will be pretty hard to get that money back unless the model is a stellar performer. And if the model is a stellar performer, she won't likely need that type of support. Now I'll grant that EE models have a language handicap and will have a harder time finding their regulars on their own, but they'd also have a harder time paying off the debt incurred to get them a decent spot.

Anyway, a lot of what being on top gets you is a bunch of basics and guests who click whoever is near the top of the list. Now some of those convert and some will tend to stick with their first model-crush, but they're more likely to convert for a hot and/or personable model than for one who merely has a high rating. AFAIC, MFC as a site would be a lot better off with top models who earned their spots and can make the converts rather than models whose studios bought their spots, for whatever reason.

Most definitely. I don't believe MFC is the one behind the studio accounts with insane camscores. If MFC ever directly affected anyone's camscore I think it would be the big name porn stars they bring in (or were bringing in, seems that phase is over for now) mostly for the increased exposure (and even that I still don't believe 100%.) I think it's the studios themselves investing the tokens in their own accounts. MFC sees it as "tokens are tokens" and just sell/take them however they can. I am betting the only thing MFC is offering the studios as a kind gesture is the new model tag. Which doesn't place them at the top, just draws attention to wherever they end up on the homepage.

Girls can't share accounts, or at least they shouldn't. If this is happening, then the studio will need to upload the documents of the new girl working on that account. Or at least, they should. I know of a girl who signed only 1 contract and started working on 4 sites.

Or... the studio ask the girl the money of the tokens invested, like a fee to start camming. I know about studios telling the girls that they must make a minimum of $ daily or the site does not pay them. Convincing these girls of an imaginary fee wouldn't be hard.

I checked GirlForBoy's room and she had over 300 members. This thing definitively works to attract members. But is the girl capable of taking advantage of this? So far, the girls I saw were nothing special and some of them had a terrible webcam with no audio.

I believe studio accounts are allowed to have more than one girl, maybe not at one time, but to swap them out as they come and go. (Take Goldenlady as an example.) And I assume the studio uploads documents for each new girl they have on any of their accounts. And yes, a studio girl signs the studio's contract, not MFC's. So if the studio has accounts on multiple sites, then the girl would be able to broadcast on any of them on the studio's accounts.

I only know what I've read about studio contracts on the sites I've visited and am taking the rest of these assumptions from common sense.

I think the problem is people assume viewers = money. Which is the same as the RIAA saying downloads = lost money. It's totally not true on either account. Back in the day before I found any great models, sure I would tip, but I would tip like 10 or 20 tokens. When I found great models I would start at about 100 tokens. I'm sure others deal similarly. A temporary boost in camscore isn't going to get those large spenders. It's not going to get another Melleny or GoldenLady.

Well I think it's probably a common tactic. Take cams.com for example. You (as a model) can take a lower % of the money you make in order to get higher placement on the page. Assuming being higher up = more traffic = more money and make sense in the long run (at least until you establish a user base on that site).

I suppose in starting to establish a user base it is probably a good help, but I think there are better things that could be done to help increase the chances of being successful. Namely some job training and teaching them how the equipment works (and also getting good equipment).

Amber, your reply cleared my mind of some doubts. Thanks!

Yes, swapping models like what happened with GoldenLady is normal and not against rules. I thought you were saying one girl working during the day and another at night.

So "all in one" contract is possible. Differently of what happening with independent models.

Ok, I'm too off topic.

It is common for the studios to use the same account when one girl quits they give that account to the new girl.. the reason? because they are too lazy to make a new account the only possible benefit is the members on the friends list, but those people quickly see it is NOT the person they knew and become pissed that some noob model is PM the member.

Oh, and there's this too: http://profiles.myfreecams.com/SoftlyKISS I think she had a camscore of like 12K a while ago.
Yes, she had. 11658.6 on November 7.

Considering that this girl joined MFC on November 2010, it is quite impressive (to not say fishy) that she managed to score almost 12k points on her first 7 days on MFC. And all that with a bad quality webcam and an average connection.

Well her score is now in the 4K range- so that is a pretty big drop. While we hate that some studios have figured the cam score out, it is comforting to know that the members of MFC don't just go by camscore alone.

Camscore may get you there, but it doesn't keep you there.

Here's another one that is on *New Model* status with a score of over 11K
http://profiles.myfreecams.com/Prinssexa

I used to see her on a few months ago in the 5k range, I believe she is with the same studio as alicialatina and camila who are like 3/5k models, one would think they along with the Russian studio(s) they have caught onto this trend of inflated camscore on the new accounts.

This being said it doesn't seem to be working, they get a few tips here and there from newer members who don't realise these models have just popped to the top from thin air, their camming skills at keeping a full room suck hard though and they all fall to the 6k range fast and keep on a declining trend.

Funnily enough I came on to see if there was any chatter on this subject as I was seriously wtf'ing at all these new Russian models with 12k today.

her room topic embraced the controversy-- wonder about my camscore? take me private and you will understand :D

I have gone into a couple of these girls rooms and they sit there blank as a stack of computer paper. When I try to chat in public room, they PM a bunch of, I know you will like me, tip big and rate tip for good show. I immediately go a vote them as 1 star. I CAN'T stand that. Then they troll me forever when I leave their room. I had to block a couple people for that. I think its a lot dealing with their agents as well. Screw em LOL

New models need NEW accounts and are not allowed to reuse existing accounts. Unless maybe 1 partner is being replaced in a couples account.

We are talking about studio accounts here. They are treated a bit differently since they belong to a studio, not one model.
