Cam models and scars; how do you deal with them?

I was browsing CB the other day and I came upon a room of a cute girl. After a moment I noticed a telltale scar on her that tells me she recently got either a defibrillator or a pace maker installed; I know because I have the exact same scar from where my defibrillator was put in. I also noticed the distinct lump of the actual unit, as well. It also looked fairly new, maybe less than a month old. As time goes on the scar will heal and become far less visible, mine is nearly invisible after about a year-- but that lump stays pretty visible. The thing that struck me is her profile said she's 19, which is very young to have one of these put in.

I didn't mention it in chat, but it got me to wondering how cam models deal with any scars they may have; whether from surgeries or other means (like injuries). Especially newer and far more prominent ones that are in areas that will be fairly visible on cam-- in the above example the scar is just below the collar bone and right above the left breast/pectoral muscle area on people that have these devices put in.

Do you try to cover them up with makeup? Do you answer questions if people ask about them, or just brush the questions off? I would assume that larger scars could be something some cam models might find as a detriment, since it can be assumed that a visible scar could hurt earnings in a business where physical attractiveness is a key component to earning money. Not every member will like scars of any sort, and I assume some models wouldn't like them, either.

So, for models with scars: How do you deal with them when on cam?

I have big-ass scars across my tits from a breast reduction six years ago. I don't bother trying to hide them, it would just be too much work.

I have other scars, mostly from being clumsy, and also a few from having my gallbladder out 9 years ago, but those are all so old you can't see them unless I do a close-up specifically on them.

I have some pretty bad scars from year of self-harming on my legs. I'm really self-conscious about them because they LOOK like self-harm scars, so I usually just wear thigh highs/long socks to cover them up. Sometimes I just put a band-aid over my big scar and use makeup to cover up the rest. Most people don't ask me about them when I'm on cam, but the few that do are usually very understanding.

I am pretty lucky, I dont scare up too easily, I still have 2 on my knee from a motorcycle accident (I only just noticed they arnt as visible as they used to be even a few years ago), I used to use them as a talking point in my room, people would ask about them pretty often because of the odd shapes of them and the fact they were pretty much all around my knee and then that would move us on to other topics like cars and motorbikes and stuff. I have some pretty heavy scaring further up my legs but theres not much I can do to hide these. I used to be really self contentious about them and hated people asking about them but no one has really mentioned them in a couple of years now.

My body is riddled with scars of all types, from self harm as a young teenager going through traumatic health diagnosis to stretchmarks so bad that my skin was literally tearing during pregnancy from the steroids they gave me to stay alive and keep gestating. I actually just gained a new scar under my chin in ~October from a fall.

I choose to not hide my scars. They tell the story of my body and its unique journey.

I have a very similar scar as the CB model you mentioned - every time I go to a new doc, they ask if I've had a pacemaker! That isn't where it comes from, but that's neither here nor there. I don't attempt to hide mine at all - I don't think I could, even if I wanted to since it healed as a keloid scar. It's old enough to have turned into a pretty silver color, raised high enough to make make-up pretty impossible. I have had people ask about it plenty of times, which doesn't bother me at all because the story behind the scar isn't a bad memory at all, but something that makes me smile. Of course, when people ask about it, I almost always end up getting extremely silly and giving a super duper obviously fake story behind it, because I know that most people would kind of give me a strange side-eye expression if I told them the truth, and I would get exasperated at them, and that's no fun. It's a personal story anyways, so they aren't really entitled to the truth. Most people accept the silly stories, but I do get very annoyed if they keep pressing. Not because the scar bothers me but because I find their persistence to be rude in the extreme. But personally, my scar is a part of me and because I think mine looks rather pretty, it doesn't make me feel self-conscious in the slightest!

However, I know many models who have pretty obvious scars and for many, the stories behind them aren't fun or pleasurable or sexy to discuss, especially in public chat. Some of them are from self harm, so asking about it brings up painful memories. Others might be from surgeries which could bring up memories of a past when they felt weak and sick and unhappy - hardly the sexy chat vibe many want to present in a public chat. Some people don't mind talking about it, some people mind very much, to the point where digging into the subject can trigger rather painful emotions/thoughts. So good on you for not bringing it up - generally, I've found that scars are better to be ignored unless the model themselves mention it!

I have quite a few scars and while I don't cover them up it's never been brought up in my room either. Their not noticable unless someone is really looking.
Some are from injuries, others very old from self harm. I'm not ashamed, they serve as a reminder of how far I've come and how much I've grown as a person. If anyone did ask I would probably leave it at that as I dont think it needs to be elaborated on further.
As @paige_orion said, best to just leave it be unless the model has brought it up.

I have a lot of self injury scars on my left arm. I don’t bother covering it with makeup or anything. I forget they’re there most of the time. If someone mentions it I just brush it off because it totally gets me out of my sexy zone. Some dudes have even tried to armchair psychoanalyze me and it’s really obnoxious. I don’t want to discuss traumatic events and scars that are also like over 10 years old. And most of the time the members that persist pestering me to tell them my life story and reasoning behind my scars never bother to tip or anything so my policy is tell them I don’t want to talk about it and if they keep bringing it up it’s a forever block

I see lots of wide appendectomy scars on CB. You're supposed to take it easy until the stitches come out, but when you're young it's really hard to just sit around after you feel good again, so you end up with a wide scar. Oh well!

I've got some nasty ones on my arm that I don't bother hiding either. I just got some studio shots taken and I do plan to edit them out, but no one has ever asked me about them on cam either.

I have a scar on my forehead. I’ve had it since I was four from falling on my face (the gate fell over when I got to the top of it... one of those chain linked fences... I’ve been afraid of falling ever since and don’t climb anymore) make up seems to work with some concealer though I kinda think if it as a cute Harry Potter scar. It’s been with me most of my life so it doesn’t bug me though

When I get asked about my selfharm scars. I too don't want to discuss it. I dodge it by saying chicks dig scars. Most get the hint.

I have huge self-harm scars all over my thighs and I actually never even thought to cover them with makeup lol. I might try that. I usually try to feel proud of my scars and confident with them but I still tend to avoid positions on cam where they're too visible for too long. I think it's inevitable that all of my regulars will notice at some point but I've actually only had a few people ask about them. I think most people can tell what they are by looking at them so they just ignore it to be nice lol

I have a giant scar on my foot from a surgery that didn’t heal quite right. Because of that I always wear socks, so my regulars are all sock guys! When people ask to see feet I just tell them I always keep my socks on. It’s never been an issue.

I dont bother trying to hide it because its something unique about you that some people will like or find interesting. It can be used as an opportunity to open conversation or share a story, something that allowed the viewer to feel more connected and personal to the model. It's also a lot of work to try to convert up a scar every single time you go on cam, for most it's not feasible to put in that much work and can cause self image issues by feeling like you have to hide it when it's a natural part of you. Cam models are humans and all have some flaw in some way

I have a hell of a lot of self harm scars from years back all over my arms and legs, about a million stretchmarks and stretchmarks on my stretchmarks, scars because I was a clumsy kid, etc. In 3 years of online SW, noone's ever asked about them or pointed them out, I don't think anyone gives a damn.
However, I do plan to make some scar fetish clips in the future because I see that's a category, and why not use what I have for more content?

I used to cut myself pretty heavily from ages 11-24,mostly on my upper thigh (easy to hide spot). Well, easy to hide when I’m wearing clothing lol. I’ve never gone out of my way to hide them on cam (impossible to cover w make up anyway). I’m pretty open with my followers about my life,it’s just another part of me and a symbol of my resilience.

The only thing I’m self conscious about is the fact that they potentially draw attention to my thighs (least favorite part of my body cuz yknow fat distribution and what not).

I also have scars on both of my knees from getting hit by a car (twice) Right knee was while on bike, left knee while on foot. People drive fucking crazy.
