Chaturbate issue?

So just a few minutes ago I go to Chaturbate as a guest. The page loads as normal and I'm looking at the "featured" tab that loads by default. I go to hit the "female" tab and I notice that another tab in Chrome opens up pointing to the following link: https://partnerreliable.men/code/pop/?pid=921306&stock=VefJs4/s0Dk/jKKL1C0ZKqSCsY8LkY95fM+TBaAjRv2e22WfmxQsbYMa9864vmamTPQ6QkdW5iDiT5CZE6qxD5m5dwiDalTvVM+v1XPhb6s5OpPVqrYEdGssApm5JNx89wz5r4tJyxyWe15lUXtOsG8W4NfbitT+rxTeJsHW2Oc=&s=chaturbate.com

The page never loads so I have no idea where it was that I was mysteriously linked to. In all the time that I've been going to Chaturbate I have never had this happen. Is this a new scheme that Chaturbate is running for advertising dollars? My machine is not infected and is behind a very secure firewall, so I'm fairly certain it's not on my end. I closed my browser and tried to replicate this, but it hasn't happened again in 6 or 7 tries.

Anyone have any ideas?

This is interesting, I wish you have a screen shot of the tab where you clicked the link so I could better understand.

Some interesting findings this morning. I was able to replicate the issue this morning. I keep javascript blocked by default and only whitelist sites that I want to visit. When I whitelisted the link above, it autolinked me to https://crobads.com/goto/ and from there it loaded a models room in Chaturbate. I didn't want to list the models name for obvious reasons, but I do have screenshots of the redirect links if you want me to send them, or I can post the images here.

Are there specific steps that others can follow to duplicate your finding? Publish those?

I am wondering did they hack the HTML on CB, and the scam they might be trying is to get you back to CB using some kind of affiliate code. The user ends up back on CB so never suspects they are in an affiliate context?

I don't know if posting this has caused them to take a look at their linking/advertising practices, but as of this morning My adblocker is only listing one ad being blocked, whereas the few days prior to my OP was showing 3-4. And I cannot duplicate the issue as of this morning. I think this might have been a case of an affiliate taking liberties with redirects, as the model it was linking to just happened to be in the top 10 at the time.

I just landed on a model page on CB that looks like it might have a similar kind of hack. I went to the page of the exhibitionist model rabuddlamin. What happens is I get a modal popup advertisement that overlays her page, and this ad prevents me from selecting any functions on the CB page. I hit the "X" to get past the ad, but that is in fact a trick and takes you to a link at:
https://chaturbate.com/external_link/?url=https://goo.gl/KV3qVm&domain=goo.gl

That link then resolves to:
http://yonwl.hornymilfathome.com/c/da57dc555e50572d?s1=1414&s2=17532

Which looks like a very suspect website (I would not recommend going there).

You can never clear the advertisement. It permanently overlays the CB model page and permanently prevents you from accessing that page.

As of the time that I am posting this message, you can still duplicate my result by going to the model's page at:
https://chaturbate.com/rabuddlamin/

Update 5 minutes later: CB banned the room. lol Was this ad in fact something in the HTML of the model's profile?

Yes, and it looks like CB is dealing with a non stop stream of "exhibitionist" cameras that are pulling the identical scam.

The funny thing is that many of those exhibitionists are putting on great shows and would make more in legal tokens than they would ever make from their scam. Maybe they are just stealing video footage and running that all in some automated loop.

Yeah, what you represent here is an issue that's been going on for a good while on CB. I'd almost bet the video you saw was a recorded, looping video with a banner ad for free tokens that just so happened to block any page navigation to include the "report" button. What they are doing is using overlay/style elements in html code hidden in the profile section to inject the banner ad and block any page navigation. The only issue I have with this ability is that you can be linked to non-https served content, which means the server the content comes from is not secure. They really need to get a handle on this as anyone using CB's website can easily get redirected to malware or viruses if they click on the link promising "free tokens".
