What model of computer do you have? If it's an old mac, your computer might just be too old for you to use for camming. Old macs that aren't intel based can't really run Flash player very well.
Also, why are you running such an old OS? Could you upgrade to 10.6.8 at the very least? That would be a big improvement. Hopefully your computer is intel based and making that OS upgrade could make a world of difference.
