My personal experience on mfc has been toxic - but that may very well be my fault, rather than the site's. The amount of begging - sadly not only from the customers - is a turn-off. It also seems to me that it' "healthier" (and I use the term advisedly) to be frank about the sexual purpose of site like this: in and out for a quick wank like on LC and that's it. I have plenty of friends in real life and would not be looking for them on a cam site.
