Custom Video Questions

Hi everyone! (I've done a search for custom video threads and haven't found all the info I was looking for so feel free to link me to any existing threads that might have the answer)

1. Do you have certain questions that you ask customers if they don't have a detailed "list" of things you ask to include in the custom? (like nude/lingerie, toys, angles, etc) or is it generally at the models discretion if the customer doesn't bring it up themselves?
2. Where do you usually get custom video requests? Clipsites, Cam sites, twitter, snapchat, etc?
3. I'm also wondering if it's sketchy to sell to customers through twitter just because it's not necessarily an adult's only platform. Any thoughts on this would great!
4. I'd love any advice that you feel would be useful!

It's rare for me to buy videos, and even more so customs. Both were from the same model, who I've been a regular in her room for at least a couple of years and we've done more than a few privates together. In both cases, I let her decide what they were going to be since she knows what I like and what really turns me on.

1. If they don't mention clothing etc. I make sure to ask since there are some guys who want the custom to be non-nude or nude or just don't care what your outfit is. Some guys are sooo detailed like it's a Hollywood script, others are so vague it's like pulling teeth to get details.

2. It's a mix for me -I'd say about half of my customs come from clips4sale itself

3. I will just direct any interested twitter user to email me and I send it through there. I prefer email over dealing with twitter dms

4. Have separate rates for a regular custom and an exclusive custom that you won't put up for resale. Some guys aren't even really into actually spending money on a custom they're just looking for free dirty talks in your inbox. I keep my interactions business like yet personable and ignore the ones that veer off topic, get personal or get into free dirty talk instead of explaining what they want for their custom. (Examples of getting free dirty talk/wanting free attention is asking things like "mm well how would YOU describe how you'd do this to me in the video" kind of stuff

1. I pretty much ask and I am very thorough to be honest. Most guys who email don't even know what the hell they want so asking is a must.

2. I get my customs from C4S mainly. Some dude's find my website but its mainly thro C4S.

3. I direct anybody (I have Tumblr and Pornhub too) to my website where all my rates are/models I am shooting with

4. I do about 8-10 customs a month. I have taught myself special effects. I charge industry standard rates (this includes B/G & G/G). $10 per min for each performer. $400 just for exclusivity (if they don't want there custom re sold) then the price on top of that for the actual custom. If you do the math you WILL make more than $400 on a clip this is where I got my $400 number from. If they want props/outfits I don't have they must purchase them. If they want there name used it's $100 extra. If they have crazy script work (believe me I have gotten 9 page Taboo customs) I charge extra. Customs take time- it takes me 2-3 days of editing/rendering (not even including the custom itself which sometimes takes hours to film). Guys do NOT understand all the work/effort that goes into making a custom video. Most the emails I receive are time wasters and guys who just want to fetish chat. I ask to the point questions so nobody's time is wasted.

Thank you ladies! That is helpful. I have had some interest in custom clips lately so I wanted to make sure I'm going into this the right way. It seems so easy until you actually have to do it (just like everything else in the cam world basically lol).
