Hopefully this won't be like the DoorDash feature where it claims I have the option to enable or disable the 4-digit PIN feature (requires a 4-digit PIN in order to receive your food), yet when I disable it, the button still slides over to enable it anyway. Lol. Like okay, if you're gonna force me to use the PIN feature, don't act like it's optional. :p

I like the idea of Uber giving female passengers the option to only accept female drivers. :) But I think it should be just that...an optional feature...not a requirement. Depending on my mood...sometimes I prefer dealing with a man in a customer service role if he's friendly without prying in my personal business. I don't like being in customer service situations where I wind up with some woman who feels the need to make a snarky remark. Lol. Like I don't enjoy interacting with people who feel the need to judge me for being my age and not having a car. Anytime I hear that, it's almost always women. The nosey busybodies can be annoying. Lol. I wound up in a conversation like that last week with a woman while I was out walking the track for an hour. And then she was in my business asking me where do I go to get my hair done, because she does hair. *Sigh* Lol.

On the other hand, there are times when I just want to get from point A to point B without having to deal with men and their shit. LOL. I've had a Lyft driver ask me for my phone number a few years ago, which was uncomfortable. And I've had one or two male Uber drivers laugh at me because I check the license plate number before getting into a vehicle (and of course I had words for them, because I didn't appreciate that...).
If it helps any, I don't own a car either. It's been 8 years since mine got stolen, but even before that, it was stupid for me to own a car.

I live in a big city, there's no parking, and it's crazy easy to get massive fines for parking in the wrong place. Plus I'd have to pay gas, insurance, and random expensive as fuck registration fees.
And on top of that I'm terrible with paperwork, dead lines, remembering to keep things current.

I honestly love not owning one. I was constantly stressing about needing this, that, new tires, maintenance work, when I had one.
They are a huge money sink!
I've always known that cars pretty much depreciate in value, like boats. You drive a car off the lot, even a brand new one, and you immediately start losing money.
Unless you plan on holding on to one for 100 years, it's never going to go up in value, it's always going to go down.
Not sure how many people know that, because if they did, they might think it more strange to own a car, rather than not own one.

I get why people in rural areas have them, but for city dwellers, it doesn't always make the same sense to me.
