German officials admit using spyware on citizens, as Big Brother scandal grows: http://redtape.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011 ... ndal-grows
Interesting quote from article: "a lawyer representing a suspect in an illegal pharmaceutical trafficking case told journalists that his client's laptop computer had been deliberately infected with the Trojan horse by Customs agents in 2009 when he was traveling through Munich airport, according to Deutsche Wells."
First off, don't think I'm picking on the German govt. It would be very naive to think that this is not widespread behavior. Furthermore, I'm not even sure this Trojan is even needed these days. Look at what people willingly give to Google, FB, Twitter, etc. And look how quickly Google caved in to China. Plenty of like examples abound.
Must look for more cheery news.
