Dynasty/Samurai Warriors

So who here on the board has played any of the dynasty warriors or samurai warriors games for ps2 and 3, x-box and/or x-box 360. These are fun button mashing meele games that are really fun and the are loosely based on historical times in china (*The three Kingdoms) and Feudal japan.

I've played/owned all of them except for the original, which was a fighting game; the Gundam versions; the x-legends and the Empire entries.

in fact I have Warriors Orochi 2 from GameFly right now.


I realize that there isn't a ton of differences between any given game and the next but they're a lot of fun and you don't always have to think about it, so it's a bit on the relaxing side too.
plus there's just something satisfying about killing over a thousand enemies in one round.


no idea when it's coming out, since last I heard they hadn't set a release date, but they're making a Warriors: Legends of Troy game based off the Trojan War instead of Feudal China/Japan

My older brother and my twin brother, have every single one between the two of them. They get off on the history around it. Sounds really cool. I dont know what movie, is like it, I know they say there is one, and I have seen it before on IFC when I was a kid, it's a bunch of warrior asian factions, they are all different colors... maybe one you know what im talking about. I've watched probably 200 hours of gameplay and played probably 5 minutes, not my type of game, but just figured I'd let you guys know you're not alone in having a massive boner for this game.
