Can't comment myself regarding this as I am in a hurry to leave but I saw it and figured I'd at least share it to see what everyone here thinks:

Post-mortem tests revealed she died of asphyxiation.

Examination of her phone showed she had been performing online sex acts for regular service user Jerome Dangar, 45, from Cornwall.

That's just sad. And also why i turn down requests that might impact my health/ safety.

It is unfortunate, that they blame the entire industry for this article. There will always be people with extreme fantasies with no regard for another humans safety or health. They exist with porn or without it.

Fortunately as a performer online, you are in control and can decline them/ ban people. There are always ways to make money without putting yourself at risk.

I hope this doesn't sound like i'm saying "oh it is her fault" because the article doesn't go into details too much.

I think a few years ago i actually read an article about someone, who died from asphyxiation because he took part in solo bdsm stuff and things went south :/

David Carradine is probably the most famous person to die this way.

It's unfortunately she lost her life. But, as you mentioned, one needs to know their limits due to personal safety. Unfortunate this happened. :(

I definitely think from this, it hopefully makes the models who are afraid to say no to their customers/fans (for whatever reason), that they can and should - especially if it's something they are not comfortable with or know is (or can be) dangerous.

It really is sad though and my condolences to the family. Annoying that people jump straight on the bandwagon of blaming the industry though.
