Hi. You offering PayPal as a payout option is NO BUENO. As it’s been stated for years on different cam forums…PayPal is anti-adult work, and cam models have gotten themselves banned from PayPal for this reason. When their accounts get banned…and all of their hard-earned money taken from them (Because PayPal WILL keep the models’ earnings as well), there goes their rent money…and they basically just performed all of those shows for free…..

out of interest is this just the Paypal US arm or does it apply ( as far as you know) to other countries as well? As an example I know I've sent money using Paypal friends and family feature, and as far as I know there have been no issues, in fact after reading your posts here I started to use Western Union.

The sums I've sent with Paypal are not that big usually between, 1-2k and I've sent to Colombia :shy: , Ukraine /Poland (not sure where the account was based):shy: and Romania :shy:
I've never sent to USA so don't know, but was thinkng is the risk the same even if the money sent was as Friends and Family with a Happy Birthday message?

Its a global paypal policy. its one of their core TOS that applies through all branches of paypal.

The risk is the same for regular payments along with friends and family, if something flags (usually the frequancy of payments / amounts that are out of the norm for the account or notes that are left with the payments) that causes the models account to be looked into then the paypal account get closed for breeching the tos, it dosnt even have to be anything that happens on the paypal platform, their TOS extends to outside of the paypal platform (for example if you only use your paypal account for ebay making personal purchases and they investigate your account and find out you do porn / cam or participate in industries that they dont agree with they will close your account just as if you had been using paypal for payments for adult services and again you lose any funds on the account).

Also if a model is normally only getting say $100 a month through paypal, and all of a sudden has someone sending them $1-$2k a month, paypal can suspend the account on suspicion of money laundering and if you arnt able to provide proof that the payments were legitimate they again close the account and keep the funds that were in there. Paypal mis-using anti money laundering legislation to steal customer funds is pretty well documented and has been happening since the early 2000's and extends beyond just taking the paypal balance, when funds need to be recovered (for example in the case of refunding a payment) the refund is taken from the bank account (if its linked) and not the paypal balance since the paypal account is frozen for 6 months (the maximum they can hold the account for under AML legislation, and they never hold it for less than the maximum) then when those 6 months are up they close the account and keep the full balance on the paypal account.

If you sent a payment with "happy birthday" in the message and the birthdate on file dosnt match it will can flag up as the model potentially defrauding someone which comes back to another 6 month suspension before account closure. If it's out by a couple of days, most likely wont be an issue, but if you send it in Jan and their birthday is like October then it would flag as suspicious. Basically any time paypal has a chance to kick someone off the platform and take the funds in the account they will take it. (I could also be a little jaded due to paypal stealing a rather large sum from me when I was 18, and talking to a lot of people that had had the exact same issue)

yeah I see, i was just checking my history on paypal to see how much i paid in fees! and I'm still in touch with 1 of the models and no issues raised and no further money sent so I guess it went through but yes I now use Western Union.

Curiously I have PayPal as a payment option for purchasing on CB, SC, MFC and Soulcams
Pornhub used to use paypal too, until paypal changed their mind. I am assuming thats more of a money talks situation and not something I would assume most models can afford (custom user agreements). Or it could be using a different middle service so while you are paying with paypal you arnt paying the site directly.

Even if sites have an agreement in place for members to pay the site via paypal, it wont extend to models getting paid by paypal since they would be under the standard usage agreements.

I’m sitting in a seafood restaurant right now, so I’m gonna post this real quick before my hands get messy with these crabs that I’m about to stuff my face with…..

I’m not familiar with how PayPal works with other regions, but I was pretty sure that policy is for ALL of PayPal worldwide. So I’m glad to see that Marti responded to you with more details. :) It doesn’t matter if you’ve sent “only” 1-2K. Y’all are really taking a big risk when you could be paying her directly on the site.

Also…models are giving you enough of their personal info for you to be able to send them money via Western Union? Oh, my…..

There is a lot of stuff listed under PayPal’s acceptable use policy, including that they “forbid the promotion of hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory.” And it immediately made me think of those models who do racial humiliation roleplay. If you’re gonna be on cam (Skype or wherever) calling somebody the n word…AND accepting PayPal payments for such transactions despite knowing their policy, that’s really crazy. Lol.

paypal shut down payments with pornhub's models/studios in november 2019

anyone thinking paypal payments are gucci is ignorant.

Also…models are giving you enough of their personal info for you to be able to send them money via Western Union? Oh, my…..
3 very exceptional circumstances, rest assured this has not happened subsequently and unlikley to ever happen again.
For Western Union I had to do a video call before transferring which made me very uncomfortable, even if it was just confirming basic details about me.
All these happened at the start of the year just before i joined this forum and 100% of my tips are now on site.

ETA Western was done after ACF but it was the 2nd tranche of a pre agered amount.
The account has not been touched since.

Wondering how someone can open up a cam site without doing basic research.Paypal it's the worst for adult work. You need to use paxum, crypto, masspay, etc. NO PAYPAL.

PayPal is just one option besides these.

We offering multiple payout methods besides PayPal.
You've missed the notes that you even offering PayPal at ALL is making you/your site look juvenile.

It is not acceptable for an adult site.
