In the last six months, I feel CB has deteriorated in some ways that are very important to the principles it originally represented. I could go on for a while about the number of models getting banned for "looking too young" but this last month I saw a good friend who is 26, and who really looks in every way older than 25, get banned for age. Days and weeks go by with no good communication. She loses her income for what must be a simple misunderstanding.

Recently I was helping someone whose profile had some memes in a photo album. CB banned the photo album unless the model could produce age identification for every person in every meme!! Memes!! These were photos of old people: all of the images were clearly adults. None of the images involved nudity. Is that just insane? Another image was a hand-drawn illustration of two adults. That one was banned because it depicted a religious character. The only part of the CB T&C that talks about religious issues talks about costumes you can wear during a performance. Someone at CB read that and decided that gives them the power to ban all images and language relating to religion? Is that not also just insane?

For me CB always represented libertarian values. It felt like a place that celebrated free choice and sexual expression. And it felt like the kind of place that tolerated a wide range of ideas, as long as those ideas represented things that were legal. What CB is becoming instead is an island run by a dictator, whose line employees have delusions of grandeur and are slowly turning the CB website into a place where they can crush all free expression, simply because they feel like it, without any recourse, without any *good* reason.

More than anything else, these actions are starting to make CB just not very fun. I used to think that I did not need to spend money on any other webcam site, but now I am rethinking that. In the last few weeks, I have spent almost no money on webcam models. All of this bizarre censorship just ruins my spirit to participate as a customer.

With what is going with onlyfans it seems as an adult platform you cannot be careful enough to stay off the radar. Religious groups are well organized for example.

I have recently seen a girl whose stream was interrupted and she came back and said she got a warning to remove all teddy bears and some childrens toys from the cam view. I think rightly so. She definitely looked like over 18 but the room she was in and the overall impression really looked like a childrens room, complete with the #daddy hashtag. Ugh. And there are still many studio rooms with teddy bears and other stuff and I think it can attract an audience that can bring trouble to the platform.

I can definitely see your point. But on the other hand, if I were the policy maker at CB I'd be pretty nervous all the time. So I can understand them over-reacting. Also memes aren't on solid ground legally. They are pictures of mostly people with some words. There is no separate set of rules for them. So if the rule is that every person on any picture uploaded has to have verification, that's how it is, also for memes.

In light of what is happening with OnlyFans, the age ban thing is probably because Chaturbate is feeling the squeeze from pay processors on credit card companies.

Better ban one too many, than letting one slip through.

Added: Also I wouldn't be surprised if some religious nuts went to Chaturbate to report rooms to get them banned

On chaturbate you dont talk about religion, soccer or politics , is not the place for that, people :) :D

jesus christ! do u know how many gifs of jesus christ there are, the've been there for years, just type in jesuschrist. u telling me this is a big no-no even though someone pretty much every hour is posting a gif of jesus with a pervy smile?

No we've been though this, cb's banning policy is fucked up. over half the half dozen girls i properly follow have had problems this year, being banned or having their income put on hold. girls ranging from lower pages to being on the sites 100 most popular.
We know of at least 1 group that have been targeting a group of models doing everything they can to get them banned (as well as exposing them and spying on this site for info like the fucking pieces of shite they r, hi guys), got at least 1 stalker doing everything he can to get a girl to no longer broadcast, including reporting her repeatedly (is it just her or has there been others?) and in a site that appeals to just as much to msyogionists/genuine perverts as it does to horny/lonely people, i'm quite sure there are more people out there trying to make models lives harder just for shits and giggles.

I have definitely spent less money during the first half of the year on cb, because the ladies i follow just weren't available and i just dont browse really anymore. yes i'm aware that most tippers are "browsers" and that there is always new models broadcasting each day. But can u imagine what would happen to cb's income if the top 1000 were all banned within a day and had to go through the same waiting forever for reply bullshit or decided to broadcast elsewhere instead never to return?

@anabeauty37 as much as i can't stand football as a englishman i have to say it's called "football" not "soccer" ;)

im not surprised that memes were taken down. on any adult platform, you cant have any people who aren't verified. obviously old or not. they need proof that person consented to have their image on their site.

and about religion... it really depends on the support agent and what they find offensive. on streamate i had profile photos of me dressed like a slutty nun complete with jesus on the cross dildo and that same dildo between my ass cheeks for the longest time. i later learned that a model i thought i was on good terms with was reporting my profile photo because it offended her and felt it was disrespectful. someone in support kept removing it while a streamate model rep who has more authority kept having to reinstate it. it got to the point where she had to physically go to the support team and tell them to knock it off.

a lot of sites have no religion in their tos because religious people can be fucking crazy. sometimes they can do some serious harm, like death because of self-righteousness.

@bamdicted The "banning for looking young" thing has been happening on Chaturbate for a while, even before the current situation with OnlyFans. And it's still ridiculous to do that to a model who's already submitted her age verification documents and been approved. We've seen posts on here about incidents where trolls have threatened to report a model/get her banned out of spite, and models being afraid that CB will throw them under the bus like that. We've had to give people on here advice that the model takes screenshots of the trolling, and send them to CB right away before the trolls are able to contact CB first. I mean, that's pretty sad that we'd even have to suggest a model do that and worry about that.

@Smores I didn't know that wearing my nun costume on CB was against the rules until someone on a forum posted a screenshot of their rules about attire. Can't remember the exact wording, but I think it was "No uniforms/religious attire" or something? Prior to learning that, I'd definitely worn that costume at least once on CB with no issues, and I used to wear it on MFC every Sunday night until I decided it's just too damn hot to be wearing all of that while in front of bright lights. I don't intend on camming on CB again anyway, but it's nice to know that I could wear it on MFC (and have the pic displayed in my profile), at least.

I know it has, but I think it has increased after the 'Pornhub vs pay processers/credit card companies' situation last year, I don't agree with CBs 'better ban one too many, than let one slip through', but to some degree I can understand that if they get threats of withdrawal from pay processors they have to act.

One thing I am wondering about is, maybe some of the bans are because performers don't see the re-verification notice CB sends them, 'You have X minutes to send a picture with your photo id', and that is why they get banned. I know CB sends those notices, though I don't know if they do so in all cases, the main performer I follow had a period at the beginning of the year when she was asked multiple times to re-verify during her streams, she never told me anything other than she was asked to re-verify, but I suspect a user that she banned immediately before it started happening.

And I fully agree with you performers advice about trolls, it is the only way, unfortunately.

The way they go about it is shitty, imo. Glad to have nothing to do with that site anymore, and to be with a site who has my back and not let trolls call the shots. Btw, I just had my ID checked a few nights ago at karaoke (It was a new guy working up front), and I am 39 years old. Lol.

I agree that they could and should handle it better, just be transparent, tell performers that your arm is being twisted by pay processors.

And I bet you were 10 feet taller being asked your ID. Personally I reached the age where I get called the equivalent of 'sir', I don't like it :haha:

Agreed ^

People are harping about religious groups impacting CB etc. There's always been anti-porn crusaders.

In this case Its really more about the ramped-up awareness of sex trafficking.

I am becoming more and more convinced that "sex trafficking" is just a cover story to pick on sex workers. I have seen a news report of a sex worker who moved interstate being charged with trafficking herself.

Oh, it's absolutely a cover story. It's all Exodus Cry being anti-sex work in general, using "think of the children!!!" to turn off people's brains and make them go along with their increasingly stringent and Puritan anti-porn viewpoints. Religious nuts. (No, not all religious people are nuts, but EC... They're nuts.)
