Hi,

So lately my tip sound just completely mutes any sound coming out of my computer instead of making the usual token sound. I was wondering if anybody has ever had this problem, and knows how to fix it?

I use the web broadcaster. I've fiddled around with the settings, but nothing is out of wack in that area. I have the newest version of firefox so I just don't know!

Any tips from anybody would be greatly appreciated!

This happened the first time I used the updated broadcaster. It hasn't happened since, but there is a slight delay, I see the tip come through, and then the bell rings. Completely forgot to mention it to Kevin when I emailed him earlier. Maybe fire him a quick email letting him know.

This may or may not be related to your problem, but if you're on Windows try this:

Go into control panel and open up the sound settings. Click on the tab called "Communications". If it's set to anything other than "Do nothing", select that option and hit OK. You might need to reboot for this to do anything.

It's only supposed to do anything for "telephone calls", and it's only ever been an issue for me when I'm running Skype, but hey. Sounds similar to what happened then, and the broadcaster could easily be triggering it somehow.
