I'm not a member, but....

When I first began camming I really only spent time watching the girls in the top three rows. (alternating between it being organized by highest camscore and most popular room) It wasn't so much for entertainment, but more for taking notes. I actually studied the site for a while before finally broadcasting my own show. I thought it was a good idea to mimic the girls who had the most success, but that proved a bust. It seemed like the girls who made a lot of money did so BECAUSE they made a lot of money. (a continuous cycle) People want to spend their money on the best, and the site is telling users that those girls ARE the best by putting them first, and giving them a higher 'score'. If anyone spends more than a week on MFC, however, they'll soon realize this is bullshit. You do not get good shows from top models, and shitty shows from models with lower scores. It all depends on the girl herself!
The reason I brought this up is because I think that certain girls will always have full rooms because they attain somewhat of a celebrity status on the site. I would be willing to bet the majority of people in their rooms are there solely to watch them get tipped a lot of tokens or because others are there. It's fun to return to a well known model's room and wait for the inevitable 2000+ tip they'll undoubtedly receive. Don't ask me why... I would say its similar to watching game shows on television. Watching people make lots of money is fun. Any boner-producing show they may provide just seems like extra incentive to stick around. It actually confuses me why, if a guest is just there to masturbate, they'd hit the top row and not look any further. Do guys really put their faith in other guys to make the best fapping choices? I guess it's similar to organizing porn videos by 'Most Watched' or 'Highest Rated', which I always do.
Now that I've started venturing past the first three rows, I'm looking for more than just big tips and sensationalism. I will list what makes me stay in a room.

1. Laughing with the room. I like giggles and smiles. Especially inside jokes! It's adorable to see a model that really knows her premiums.
2. An aesthetically pleasing background. ScarlettAvery has the best house!
3. I like all types of music, but I am more likely to stay if it's sexy and slow rather than fast. Unless she's headbanging, then it's okay.
4. I like a theme. So underclothes, outfit, music, and decor all coordinate beautifully.
5. A girl's profile is really important to me. If I like her style on there... I'll usually be more likely to tune in.

I've got to get on cam now, so that's all! :-D

I agree with all of the above. I like a nice atmosphere and interesting banter between the model/regulars. It feels nicer coming into a room where everyone seems happy and tight knit and the pressure isn't on the countdown or whatever is going on at the moment, and they're just enjoying each other's company.

I actually started watching my favourite model by accident, her room is one of the more popular ones and she's often at the front of the list - which is something I usually stay away from unless I'm just bored. I accidentally clicked one day and went to another tab, came back and she had her fluffy cat on cam with her, which caught my interest. I couldn't help but tell her it was adorable, and her regulars greeted me right away. That was a huge thing for me.. they were ALL really nice which doesn't happen in a lot of rooms until I've tipped and "established" that I'm not a freeloader. We all engaged in really interesting conversation (about economics and history) and the model herself was *really* funny and interesting. It was a really nice, refreshing experience and now I just keep coming back.

What makes me click "next" is usually typing, really annoying mic feedback (there's this one girl who's room I can't stay in because her mic is just HORRID and I feel so bad because I'd like to visit more but it really wouldn't kill her to get a better mic), or hearing the word "tip" too often. It's alright when she does it in a sweet, reminding way but when it's the only thing going on in the room, I'm not going to have enough attention span to stay longer.

(Also, I just noticed that AwesomeKate posted above me and this is so surreal because she is awesome.)
