I am concerned for a model on CB. She seems to generate her self-image by how many viewers tip her. If her viewership is low and the tips aren't coming in, she assumes she is ugly and no one loves her anymore. To fix the problem she doubles down on the amount of time she spends online because somehow that is going to improve how viewers think of her. The less she makes, the more determined she seems to spend more time online. 12 hour days are not uncommon. What's more, she has confided the she doesn't enjoy what she is doing and she performs acts she doesn't want to perform. Where can I find some resources for her.

I know that I can't help her myself. She has to want the help. I'm not sure she is there, at least not yet. I log in and spend time with her when she is online. I tip probably more often than I should. I worry that while I want to be supportive, I don't want to enable her to continue harming herself.

Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

If you feel your support of her is going to harm her mental health, the best thing to do is stop visiting. You can't really help someone at their place of work in that way I don't think.

I don't at her place of work. For six months we have developed a personal relationship. I know her real name, I have visited with her family via video call. We have not met, but we are planning to soon. She is my friend; I am her friend. This is the nature of my motivation for asking.

The algo favors rooms that are on longer than those that are not. She's not wrong there.

But if she is really in that headspace she needs to come talk to us herself.

This is proberly not the reason why when it's slow shes working more hours, much more likely she wants to make x amount a day when it's slow it can take longer (sometimes much longer) to make that money. Models do not get paid an hourly rate, we are commission only workers, if you're not spending we arnt earning.
