How do models find others to collab with and how does the system usually work? I have never collabbed but have been thinking about it recently and it sounds fun :D I have a few questions tho, I don't want to get taken advantage of or scammed by the other model.
1. How do you guys agree on the prices of vids or earnings/royalties? Do you guys split income from the content created together or just keep whatever is earned from your own marketing? How is this decided upon usually?
2. If you two are selling the same vids from the collab, and one is selling more than the other and say the other models is getting no earnings, then what?
3. What if the other model decides to change the price of the vids drastically lower so that everyone will buy from him/her instead?
4. How is it decided where the filming will be, etc, costs and prices to make the vids, etc?

Basically this all sounds so complicated for me I just need a general idea on how this works before I decide it is right for me. Thanks

There's a ton of different ways to meet other models. If you're on MFC, they host burlesque shows and model meet ups which are both great ways to meet fellow models. There's ton of different conventions you can go to, as well. There is also different cam clubhouse type events that's ran by cam models and content creators. You do have to pay for your spot with this and get an up to date std test whether or not you plan on shooting explicit content. However, you really need to make sure you get an std test no matter what if you plan on doing anything involving swapping fluids.

You can make friends through Twitter and you can also make friends on here!

Before you shoot any content with anyone just hang out with them first and see if there's chemistry there. I'd imagine it'd be awkward to meet someone for the very first time with the intentions of shooting content with one another and realizing that you guys didn't hit it off. No matter the type of content, whether it be explicit, femdom, non-nude fetish, you want to jive with someone, y'know? Also, you want to trust this person. When you film with someone you both have to have a model release form and a copy of the other person's id so that you can legally post videos with them to your store. Most models are terrific with ensuring your privacy, but you always want to be careful.

The best way, imo, to go about filming with other models is to do a content trade. So, say you film four unique videos with another model. Two of those will be solely yours to post while the other two will be only for her to post. You can price the videos however you want and post them wherever you want, as long as the other person is okay with where you post it, of course. I'd imagine keeping track of your profits and then splitting it afterwards would be a nightmare. Not just to keep up with it, but also when it comes to taxes.

2. If you two are selling the same vids from the collab, and one is selling more than the other and say the other models is getting no earnings, then what?

Unfortunately, this is something that will probably happen if both of you post the same video. That's why I believe it's best to trade content. Now, if you happen to record a once in a lifetime video with several models, then all of you can post it and it sort of is what it is in regards to how many people buy from whoever. I think in that case it's best to not worry yourself with how much someone else is making and just focus on your own videos and income.

3. What if the other model decides to change the price of the vids drastically lower so that everyone will buy from him/her instead?

Another great reason to trade content! Once it's done, that content is theirs to price however they want. Just like you can price your stuff however you want.

4. How is it decided where the filming will be, etc, costs and prices to make the vids, etc?

If you trust this person, which you definitely should, you can always film at either your house or their house. If you're not comfortable with that then you can always rent a hotel room. I believe it is against the tos of Airbnb to use their rentals for porn shoots. I've heard of models being banned from using Airbnb, so it's definitely a do so at your own risk sort of thing. Best to get a hotel room. Other than that, there really shouldn't be too many other costs? I've done shows with girls where we had to buy props and we just split the cost in half. One person can pay and the other person can just pay them back the other half through a money app or just in cash.
