Hey everyone.

I am a fellow streamers but not on a sexual kind of site (Twitch)

I was wondering. If I like someone, Id prefer to send them money to PayPal as its mean they get all of it instead of the 5cents you get per token. Two people I spoke to were very worried about it, but they did give me it after morre chatting. I was wondering why is it so scary to get money that way?

Probably because PayPal is anti-adult, and will shut down a cam model's PayPal account for accepting PP as payment for adult services. I'm not sure if Twitch is ever used in a "gaming and chatting in my bra and panties, and being flirty and sexy" sort of way, but if so, it isn't wise for that streamer to be accepting payments via PayPal. Even if this streamer isn't using Twitch for adult services and is keeping it strictly gaming, if they happen to be a cam model someplace else, they just may be used to telling people "NO PAYPAL" out of habit. And they probably don't want to take any chances?

In the future, just pay the streamer the way they asked you to, if they've already expressed to you their concern about doing it your way. If this streamer is a person you follow on Twitter, and they happen to have an OnlyFans account, you could use Twitter/OF to discuss sending money (I'm not sure what you're allowed to discuss/advertise on Twitch). And on OnlyFans when you send a tip, the creator gets 80%, which is much better than the percentage we'd get on a cam site.

PayPal is something I'd stick to for things like eBay or Amazon purchases. Last Christmas I paid for something that turned out to be from a scam site, and PayPal was good about getting me my money back. But again, that had nothing to do with camming or any kind of adult services. I absolutely would not use PayPal for anything adult.

PayPal is absolutely the biggest no no.

Paypal: it's very difficult to properly protect your real identity, meaning it's easy to be doxxed.
Sending money for sexual anything via paypal is against their TOS so the user can report you and get you banned and the $$$ returned. They can also ask for a refund and because you cannot tell them what the $$ was for you have no recourse meaning the customer can completely screw you.

PayPal acts like a bank but has none of the laws applying to them that banks do. Meaning if they think you're breaking TOS by existing as a sex worker they can take ALL YOUR MONEY and you never see a dime. I know of models who have lost 10,000 dollars and had to fight legal battles for years to get it released. I had $500 taken and my account banned for life. I wasn't even using it for sexual services they just realized that I am a sex worker because the email was the same as my camming email. The $$ I was getting was a gift.

Bottom line: terribly unsafe from refunds, losing all your $$, and identity exposure.

Also side note: don't worry about how much the models cut is. There are other factors that may make a model prefer tokens. They might be pushing for rank, a camscore boost (on mfc if you don't make a certain amount of tokens per hour on average you get pushed further and further down the page resulting in less exposure). Or they may prefer the charge back protection that the site offers. Ultimately, your best bet is to use whatever method the model prefers. Their cut is their business.

Hey hey

Thanks for the amazing in-depth reply. I did not even think of the whole refund process they could do. I mean I never ask for any sexual things off them at all. I just talk and help out where I can. But my actions obvs dont mean everyone is that same and god I never knew about the whole paying for sex part payapl can frack you for it.

And the Doxing part! Jesus! makes me not want to have my paypal donation box up now. going to lock my door tonight.

Man I feel for your loss of £500 and your friends also, I mean who cares what you use it for. And why should people judge for this line of work. I hate how taboo this whole thing is. if only the whole world was able to see how any men use sites and services Im sure laws would change.
