My Free Cams Model Registration

Hi Lovely Ladies-
I know it's generally rude to make your first post a request for info, but I promise to pay it forward
I'm a newbie looking to start camming, and first ended up at livejasmin- but honestly, the pay rates don't look so great and it seems quite clinical.
I am interested in setting up an account with my free cams instead, and was wondering if you could give me some advice on the application process. Or even suggest a different site? MFC seems to have a much funner vibe than a lot of the other camsites out there.

However, the initial registration page is a little unclear.
It asksfor you to tell them about yourself- are they looking for basic stats, or what kind of camgirl you are looking to be? Or is it even supposed to be a few words on your personality?

It then asks for photos- should they be bodyshots? headshots? or professional type photos?
I am looking to be an SF model (I do smoke a lot, and enjoy it- try not too boo too much, lol)

If you can make suggestions for a grateful newb, about the registration process, different sites, or if any other smoking girls would like to say hi, that would be very much appreciated!

I think I just put my age and very basic info in there. Something like "Blah, blah I'm this old and I'm looking to join MFC to be a cam girl, blah, blah." I've never heard of someone not getting approved so as long as your ID is valid and you're over 18, you should have no problems.

Just a few clear head/body shots are fine. Nudity isn't required and they don't have to be professionally shot.

Streamate is another good site to try out (and don't let the percentage scare you) but LJ is full of chargebacks and not so nice things.

Because they're notorious for chargebacks and even if you say you won't do X, Y or Z before entering a private, a member can claim you didn't do something they wanted in the show and get their money back. LJ is not a model-friendly site.

I would recommend Streamate or Chaturbate.

I second Streamate, however, I think I'm biased since it's the site I am currently on.

If MFC is the site you ultimately want to be on, it's not a bad idea to cam live a few times on a site like Chaturbate so you can get a feel for what you like/don't like and how comfortable you are with certain things and figuring out your cam, lighting and angles all while interacting at the same time. MFC can be an excellent site (I loved it, it just didn't feel the same about me) and it's certainly hard for newbies, but it's not impossible.

Further more, 90% of the guys on that site will have some kind of disturbing fetish, and will treat you like shit, and verbally abuse you into doing something degrading/disgusting/harmful to yourself. And like Allison says, the chargebacks and atmosphere makes you scared not to do it. Working on LiveJasmin made me feel really violated a lot of the time.

Also: Pet walks by the camera? Walk away to go to the washroom? You'll get fined.

I agree so much with this, Chaturbate is similar to MFC in the way it is set up, but you don't have to stress out about your Camscore so it's a great beginner site if you have your heart set on MFC. Get your set up right (angles, lighting) and get comfortable interacting and running a room then move over to MFC once you are comfortable.

I technically started out on LiveJasmin but I think I maybe spent an hour on there. BUT thankfully, I was approved for the model's only section by being a model on LJ so I was able to get the good information on how to be successful on MFC, I suppose, before I started. LiveJasmin was very constrictive, though, you cant play your own music, they don't care about models... etc.

I did really well on MFC but I found out that I really like the way Streamate is set up more after being on MFC for a while, so it's really all about personal preferences really. I don't think Streamate is a bad site to start on really, either, but it's certainly nothing like MFC.

There's a thread called New Model Mistakes in the models only section of this forum.
After you've signed up with MFC, get model status here and you'll be able to enter that section and read that thread. It's incredibly useful and if you stick to what the girls have posted there, you should do at least fairly well on MFC as a new model!
