watching porn will help a bit but be aware that camming is very different to porn sometimes. Camming is interactive and can be very social. There are many ways to go about it.
It sounds like you may have an idea that there's some sort of very specific type of thing/person you should be and things you should be doing when camming. It's true there are lots of t higns that are common but one of the blessings of camming is its flexiblity. Overwhelmingly, most people find that when they really fake things - like trying to be something they're not at all, in any shape or form - they won't succeed as easily.
I highly suggest you check out cams more than porn. Watch all cams, and focus on MtF trans cams. Watch all body types, success levels, etc. Notice whats working for them and whats not. Make a premium account on the camsite you choose and spend some money (doesn't need to be a lot) it can be really helpful to understand the site from the members level as well.
Don't feel like you have to do things that make you really uncomfortable. You can absolutely play up a part of your personality or persona to make camming work, but don't put yourself into any situations you really won't like yourself for later.
After doing all that research, watching cams etc - just do it. get online, and try it out. research will be really helpful to give you an idea of what to expect, but at a certain point you'll need to take the plunge. There's stuff that only experience and experimentation can teach you.
