This is just an anecdotal observation, but, ever since the semantics of the NEW tag were changed a month or so ago, it seems like rooms with NEW tags are not being boosted, or, at the very least, being boosted less than before. Has anyone else noticed this?

Im not sure but i never heard about typical "boost" . More like there is separate category on page NEW, where many guys visiting. I think this is only one way to being "boosted" . Maybe im wrong, just thinking. Maybe people are less interested in new cams last times, maybe is more and more new girls. Hard to say. Sorry , i didnt help much, just wanted share my thoughts.

Instead of counting 7 days from verification, new rooms get 80 hours of the new tag during the first 30 days.

I haven't checked in the last 2 weeks or so but before that ever since the 80 hours change there have been a ridiculous amount of new tag models it's the worst time to have a new tag.

They are being boosted, if anything it's just over saturated.
The new badge pushes girls up as a promotion but there will only be so many spots on the front page to rotate between new girls.
Not only that, but new girls now have more competition against other new girls too since it now last for 30 days and up to 80 hours.
It's definitely made it easier for the popular girls to get 30,000+ followers after the first month. But it's also made it harder for smaller girls to get past 3000+ in the first month.
