For those who already have experience on the platform:

How did you set up your account and profile?

What do beginners need to know before their first stream?

How do you attract viewers when you’re starting from zero?

What equipment or setup would you recommend for a beginner?

Are there any common mistakes new creators should avoid?

This sounds more like someone doing research and wanting to know these questions as opposed to someone going to make their own profile. How these questions are worded is weird.
I mean the very first question... by filling in the profile boxes and questions it asks? Not sure what anyone can respond to this first questions to be honest

How did you set up your account and profile?
I followed the instructions, read approximately 7% of them, and clicked “Next” until money appeared to be involved.
What do beginners need to know before their first stream?
Nobody knows what they’re doing on their first stream. The trick is to look confident while frantically Googling things in another window.
How do you attract viewers when you’re starting from zero?
Step 1: Have zero viewers. Step 2: Refresh the page 47 times. Step 3: Question every life decision that led you here. Step 4: Someone finally shows up and asks, “What do you do?”
What equipment or setup would you recommend for a beginner?
A camera, decent lighting, reliable internet, and the ability to pretend your computer didn't just crash at the worst possible moment.
Are there any common mistakes new creators should avoid?
Assuming viewers can read your mind, giving away everything for free, and thinking “I’ll just wing it” is a business plan.

1: This part is self-explanatory, as already stated by others.

2: Read and understand all the rules and terms of service, before agreeing, no matter how long and boring of a read it is. It's literally the most important part, especially if you want to avoid being one of the many posting here asking why your account was banned.

3. As explained on the site, you will have a 7 day promotional period when you first begin, from that point, it's all on you. If you broadcast, they will come.

4. Already answered above, but a camera and solid connection to the net is all it takes. You can do it all with a smart phone if that is what you have.

5: See answer 2. Also double, triple, and quadruple check that there's nothing on you or your surroundings that can help reveal your personal information.

This was changed to 80 hours or 30 days, whichever comes first.

I will share this:

Once your new tag is gone, your viewership is going to drop like a rock to the bottom of a river bed. You are now just another pebble in the sand. It happens to everyone running as an independent model. Don't freak out about it.

Annnd....while you can share your social links you are not allowed to discuss them in any way other than "links in bio."

Welcome to the space! Starting from scratch can feel a bit overwhelming, but here are a few simple tips that really help early on:
  1. Make full use of your 'New' tag: That first week or two gets you natural boost traffic, so consistency during this period is everything.
  2. Keep it simple with equipment: Good lighting (a ring light works wonders) and clear audio matter way more than an expensive 4K camera at the start.
  3. Set clear goals & tip menu: Give viewers a reason to interact right away. Having transparent goals keeps the energy moving.
  4. Don't sit in silence: Talk, react, listen to music, or keep yourself engaged—silence makes people click away fast.
Biggest mistake to avoid? Burning yourself out by streaming 10 hours straight on day one. Pace yourself and focus on building genuine connections with your first regular viewers!
