I was recently contacted by an agency called Online Model Mastery. I checked their website and it looked interesting but I just wanted to see if anyone here has firsthand experience with them.

Avoid. You can do everything they offer on your own with a bit of research and not having to give someone else 30% of your earnings. Reading through the forums here is a good start, and if you do decide to go ahead get yourself verified as a model here so you can get access to the models only section.

usually people who say they are "masters" at something generally have very little idea about what they are doing. So it wouldnt surprise me if the only thing they were masters of was taking a % for not knowing how to do anything else. Looking at their website pretty much confirms that for me too considering they dont actually provide any information that a model would want to know (like what they intend on doing for the % they are going to take) they are basically selling a service without telling you what the service is, and I would guess thats because they dont even know what the service they are supposed to be providing is.

ETA: Also the copy on the website (and the website itself) seems very low effort, so that's what I would expect from them overall.

why do i have the feeling you are "Online Model Mastery" ?
Are you being serious?? This is my 1st post and I’m assuming that this site is supposed to be a safe space to ask questions for beginners, right? I’m just finding your response to be rude cause why would you assume and say that? That was just weird

Okay thank you. I’m new here so i didn’t know about verifying myself. But noted. I did sign up for a couple of sites like MFC as an independent account but i don’t really know what I’m doing yet. I was curious about the concept of these agencies.

Nothing wrong with a little healthy cynicism when seeing these types of posts 👌🏼
What's wrong with asking for feedback? I'm not selling anything. I'm just asking a question so responses like this a little unnecessary

Do not use an agency.

Do not join a studio.

It is common practice for shady online businesses to pretend to be interested customers to generate buzz in a way that is not just self promotion. There are whole companies dedicated to doing this for businesses on Reddit and FB groups.

thus, cynicism.

Don’t stress - if you’re actually a model then you got the feedback. Don’t touch agencies when new.
