So a little background , I was a short time male model and then 2 year customer of a well knows cam site. I enjoyed and had decent customer friendly relationships with a lot of the women I was paying. About six months ago I found an image from a bot from a password cam to cam with a model.

The image was removed with a Dmca request and I haven't been on since.

Due to my privacy I did not want my images posted and used passwords on my rooms to prevent that.

My question is ( if anyone cares lol ) is there a cam service that is more protected ? Once that trust had vanished it's hard to go back to something I once enjoyed. Even a paypal paid cam to cam with models that I'd trust.

Thanks - mr-throwaway

Uh, Wut?

Ok , I wrote that in a hurry so let me try to explain.

It was a pic from a c2c session of myself. A pic of the webcam image.

My guess was that it was taken from a bot scanning the website.

I don't understand why since it was password protected but I won't get into that.

Hope that helps. Again my apologies for writing up a quick story that might of been hard to read.

Honestly, I still don't understand what you're talking about. Can we start at the beginning?

What site was this?
Was the pic a screenshot of just your webcam? Was it a screenshot of the whole webcam interaction?
Were you the model or the member?
Was the picture password protected? Or the was it a password protected show?

Also, was it any form of a humiliation or blackmail type show? Like, one where the other person involved might post the photo for their own reasons?

My take is this happened in CB, he was streaming on his own member room behind a password that he gave the model. He then found a screenshot of that session.

My guess is it was a screenshot of your time as a cam model and not the password protected session. After all, it is hard to keep track of things after a while.

Kitsune is right on the money. Actually I know for a fact it was from when I was a member NOT a model. The model aspect was very short lived.

It wasn't a screen shot of the model and myself , it was solely my webcam image. No black mail no wrong doing by model. No foul by the model at all.

I'm just thinking there was a moment when the room wasn't protected and it got scanned.

And thanks for being patient with the replies , sometimes typing on a phone and doing 1,000 other things makes my replies a bit vaugue.

So I guess that leaves me with two questions .....

If you are on a site with a c2c enables with out you being in your own " model " room .... can your images be captured by a bot ?

( I know models could record if they wanted )

Is there a way to cut out the 3rd party cam site all together and deal right with the models ?

Not unless you use Skype, but that would limit your possibilities a lot... most models wont accept skype calls while streaming and those who would would likely charge you a lot of tokens for it.

My advice is to geo-block every country except the country the model is from, use a password, and dont show your face. You can also switch to MFC where member cams are not displayed with model cams so they dont get recorded.

Can't he sign up with DCMA and have THEM remove his content?
It's a big price to pay... but I think they do all the work.

I THINK.

I think you mean DMCA which is just an acronym meaning The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)

When companies or individuals send a DMCA notice they are sending a warning to that person or company that they are in violation of their copyright. Under the act, once this warning is sent if it is not complied with, there is grounds to take legal action. So when people say they are sending a DMCA notice that's what it is.

There are companies which send DMCA notices for you that can get very pricey and really seems to be a strange thing to do just so that he can get off with a model on cam.
