Hi everyone.

I began modeling on MFC at the beginning of the month, and now am finding out that I apparently didn't sign up directly through MFC as I'd been led to think. I am only going to be paid 30% of my earnings instead of 60%, if they ever decide to send me my earnings. I earned tokens for just over a week, and hadn't been online for a while after that because of some personal family matters. I was supposed to have received my first check earlier this week, never did, and now the "studio" I am supposed to be working for isn't responding to emails. Is there anything I can do? I have contacted MFC, and they simply directed me to sign up again as an independent model. I am honestly not wanting to model anymore - this has been extremely stressful, trying to work out what happened with being signed up through a "studio"... and now I am pregnant. My bf was supportive of the idea of me modeling to make some extra money, but we are both uncomfortable with it after finding out I'm pregnant.

Any suggestions on how to be certain I receive my payment for my week and a half of modeling and what else I may need to do to protect my information that the "studio" has on me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Gemma

Sounds like you were scammed by a bogus "studio."

Why not take MFC's advice and sign up as an independent model?

As I stated in my original post, I am not comfortable modeling after just finding out that I am pregnant. I just want to be paid for the work I have done.

This studio has a name or something like that? You signed any kind of document stating your percentage gain? I think you will only get this money through litigation.

Hi Gemma,

If you have signed up through a studio they might have a minimum pay-out, if you have not reached the minimum token earn amount in the two week period it would roll over to the next 2 week period. If you never work again and don't earn the minimum amount you might never receive your money.

Before someone signs up to be a cam model through a website it's common sense to call the company first and ask the important questions about the job. If the website you joined through does not give out a contact number or does not have a model agreement to sign covering all aspects of the job then it's not the best idea to follow through with the sign up process.
