I think the only times we have referenced that site here were related to the weird randomness that's in their MISC section. What Punk is trying to say is that the whole forum shouldn't be shitcanned just because one section is filled with swelled-up gooberheads rambling sexist nonsense. The majority of that site and forum is help and advice and camaraderie among people who enjoy working out and such.

I mean, imagine what outsiders say about this forum? There are a lot of people here who are fanatics about camming and have made an ass out of themselves in a handful of threads. I'd hate for all of ACF to be hated on because of one section having some craziness in it.
You don't see that a difference is a tolerance of sexist/mysoginist forum threads? I've always supported that you've allowed people to express their opinions here without censorship, but I dare say if people were to start racist/sexist threads, you might step in?

This is a small place moderated by basically ME. Which means I can butt in and delete or ban whomever/whatever I want. And I do so because the reputation of all of these girls that I want to help support would be worsened if this forum was a sexist crazy-talk haven.

And theirs is a HUGE world wide forum. They are there to interact with each other and share bodybuilding tips and whatever the fuck else they want to talk about. Who knows or cares what their moderators do, or how involved they are/want to be. With that many members and subjects, etc, why would they bother trying to keep it clean? 101 million posts and 6.9 million members.

Lol the only two times I've ever seen that forum referenced is on here, with really sexist, retarded threads about camgirls.

Generally, people being that idiotic and sexist is enough to kill any desire to read any more of such a forum. I don't even know what swole shaming is

Any swoles out there, you should be ashamed of yourselves and shit?
So you admittedly have never even checked out the forum but you still feel comfortable insulting the people there. Classy. Too much swole shaming, need more swole acceptance.

I'm not obliged to go read any forum. A link to a thread was posted here. Links to previous threads have been posted here. They may not be representative of the rest of the forum, but like it or not they ARE representing that forum to outsiders.

Don't like it? Try some self-regulation and your forum might make a better first impression. I don't give a toss about body shapes or what hobbies people have. I was commenting SPECIFICALLY and DIRECTLY to what exposure I've had to threads from that forum posted HERE, I didn't go looking for them. I simply asked that such ignorant threads get less attention.

If they're so atypical of your beloved bodybuilding community, and you're so touchy about it being misrepresented, then for gods sake tell them to STFU??

Or don't? I don't give a fuck, its your community they're embarassing.

Fine, but again - why does that matter to me? Like...am I seriously being raked over political correctness coals for 'generalising' about a forum whose only contributions I've been exposed to - here, in 'our' backyard - are prime examples of stupidity?

I am just pointing out that your'e being mighty mouthy about it when you don't know what the site is about at all. Just like I'd hate someone to do about ACF if they sampled a mere .5% of the subject matter of the overall site.

Because it's a great forum with a ridiculous amount of knowledge and tons of people that help each other achieve goals. Some dudes like being in amazing shape and that place is quite helpful.
K, and on the other hand theyre a bunch of opinionated, self-absorbed, narcissistic mysoginists whose unsolicited and hypocritical opinions about sex work and sex workers does nothing but give their hobby and their forum a bad name.
You started by asking why anyone would read the forum, we've told you why, but you're still stuck on a small % of their member base being assholes.

You clearly don't know anything about the forum. Did they ban you because you're a dude that says "k"? Or did you get banned for swole shaming? Maybe you should try reading the forum before making up stuff.
Maybe you should learn what nuanced understanding is. Did he castigate the entire site? No. Did he castigate body builders in general? No. What he did was castigate a bunch of assholes in a PARTICULAR thread who showed misogyny and ignorance about camming.

Actually, I was saying the content of the forum and whatever that site is about is completely irrelevant because what appears on THIS forum in THIS thread is what we have to base reactions on, unless you expect everyone to go research other sites and shit to contribute to this thread and forum...? heh.

How was I being 'mighty mouthy'? I commented on and reacted to the posts that have been brought to THIS forum. I don't happen to read THAT forum so all I have to base it on is what ends up here.

If it isn't a perfect sample size of the community well, so what? The sexist boneheads in that thread are the topic of conversation here, frankly the content of the rest of some other forum is completely insignificant in regards to this thread.

Oh, PS obligatory swole shame.

So I've been doing Insanity, dieting, and trying to get into my best possible shape I can be in for a photo shoot I have coming up this October (my 31st Bday is Halloween so I'm also hoping that looking really good will soften the blow of turning another year older LOL).
Well anyways, I was just on bodybuilding.com and happen to stumble upon this thread: Would you ever date a "cam" girl.
I swear, I've been camming for so long now, I forget how taboo this profession is to the GP.
Some of these comments kinda' irked me... What do you guys think? Should I just take it with a grain of salt. Because part of me really feels like contributing my too cents to this thread, but the other part of me says, just let it go cause you'll never make them understand.

If the thread was current, I'd say you could contribute if you really felt like it, but it looks like the last post was written in February 2012 and at this point you'd just be dredging up a thread that clearly didn't garner much attention in their community.

When I come across these types of posts on other forums I ask myself the same questions. Should I try to educate or should I just shake my head and read another thread. I usually just move along because it's just not worth it to me to try to make anyone understand camming.

I was about to reply with the whole dated thing myself but you got it in first. I'll just add even if there was a reply now it's unlikely any of those people would even see it this far out. So I think it would just really be a waste of time at this point.

I will quote again the part where you're making generalizations about their entire forum, not just what was sampled.

And then I'll be done talking about it, because when ever I try to correct this sort of behavior I get met with incredible defensiveness instead of just owning up to the issue.

personally, I smiled and kinda chuckled when they showed a pic of Mary and said shes not worth a date and then tossed a pic of Gisele into the firing line. These boys must be seriously into the 'lil Biebers' ....

The misc section of the bodybuilding.com forum gives bodybuildres a bad name. It was like that 2 years ago and obviously its still the same now. Through my ex boyfriend I used to know/meet quite a few bodybuilders and the ones I hung out with are not whiny misogynist intolerant douchebags who believe in the "friendzone",rate women from 1 to 10 and use phrases/words like "sloot" or "would bang" or "would not bang'. They're normal guys who happen to be tryign to build up a bunch of muscles and as far as i could tell they had a realistic, respectful view on women i.e. they saw them as humans.

I guess certain things just come with age though. I really hope the guys who posted in that thread are all in their early 20s.
I don't know what the other sections of the forum are like, but it's like the worst of the worst came together on that board. :?
sorry for typos, I'm a bit tipsy.

When I read the first post I was thinking of my response and part of it would be, there is only one person that posts here that would defend that board. Well, they did.

Does that board no longer post models webcam videos and links to where to find them?

What? When has pornography ever been allowed there? You sure you even know what forum you're talking about?

I'm not sure if they've ever posted videos there, but back when I first started camming I remember there was a huge thing where they would group troll girls on MFC. Someone would start a thread and name a model on MFC, then they would all flood her chat until she either banned the lot of them or they got bored with her, then they would move on to the next model.
AFAIK enough people complained to the forum and there's a rule against those kind of threads now.

The MISC section is full of morons, it doesn't spill over into the rest of the forum though. They keep their idiocy contained.

Didn't know this. Thanks.

Still heated about the swole shaming tho. We just want to live life with the body of a spartan without being treated like one. Had thought this forum was free of anti-swole prejudice but I was wrong. I dream of a day where a man is judged not by the definition of his abs but by the swoleness of his heart.

This post is a joke, right? There is no swole-shaming. :woops: No one's said anything about bodybuilders. There's only shaming of the idiots in that thread. But if you want to intentionally misunderstand people, knock yourself out.

Sounds better than unintentionally misunderstanding people. Like, some of the jokes in that thread are pretty common in jokes. Seeing people here thinking that some are legit posts is hilarious.

(Fortunately, not all swoles shame sloots and not all sloots shame swoles. But I still consider sloot-shaming swoles fair game.)

Also, there is some highest of high horse riding in this thread as if this message board is an all accepting, egalitarian entity.

Someone could easily dig up an old post from a banned member doing some sort of shaming to basics/guests/romanian models/etc.

Fact of the matter, each message board community has a generally accepted behavior/vibe, but also extreme edge cases/views. Judging a message board on it's extreme edge cases probably isn't the most enlightened way to pass judgement ...

Oh this forum.

There is a group of guys who chat on this forum (just like we do from this forum) regularly...off the forum itself.

They use the search term BBW and go room to room to troll. They are very public about the details of this, even say the site and how they know each other.

I am guessing they are just bored.

They have been doing this for YEARS.

BUT--I think Amber has a good point about not judging the forum as a whole for a section, or a select few people on it.

I agree, there have been users on here I would not want us judged by either. Some of them were down right super creepy, and kept coming back with new names repeatedly. I feel sorry for any models they become attached to, because they are the kind of movie monster that pops back up right before the the screen turns black and the credits roll.

I'm gathering it is. I've had NO idea what anyone is talking about since the first post. And I'm not interested enough to google any of it.

What do you guys think?

Reading those comments did annoy me ever so slightly, but it's one of those things that I've come to accept and just kind of brush off. While my job seems completely normal to me and any other girl on this forum, to most of the general public it is shocking and taboo. There are many men who would not feel comfortable dating a sex worker, and that is their choice. I don't personally agree with that way of thinking but everyone has the right to their own opinions and lifestyle.

The ones who go out their way to insult and troll us though, they can suck my dick.
