FYI ladies I inquired about their "special offer" and this is what support sent me. Anyone who even thinks $1/HOUR is anywhere close to reasonable... just no.

For the record, they replied asking how much I thought would be reasonable and I said that anyone who makes an offer like that isn't someone i'll be working with.

What do Streammate, MyFreeCams and Chaturbate pay per hour just to be on cam?

I do not know about MFC or streammate, just Chaturbate, but on there, there is no hourly pay. The only income we receive is from affiliate codes & tips from members!

MFC, SM, CB... they have traffic. And last I checked Cam4 did a similar thing to bring on models who would bring their own traffic except it was $10/hour. I'm just saying acting like you have some amazing promotion for models who are new (aka often new to the industry and don't know how ridiculous that is, and don't have their own traffic to bring with them) is gross. There's a reason the 1$/hour isn't mentioned until you email them.

I recently heard a girl on here that worked for them and did not get paid. So I would be a little careful about working for them. She won contests and stuff as well and never got her money.

$1/hour?! What the fuck? Waitresses at The Waffle House earn more than that.....

Also to add I have never heard an update from that model so she may have received her money now but it was a big hassle.

There's no hourly pay on any of the three. I assume that being paid $0 per hour means those aghast at the $1 per hour are even more horrified at that revelation and would never work those sites for "free" :D?

As you can tell, I don't actually care, just a bit of perspective. The reality is what XsySophie points out....

The three sites I mentioned have traffic and established client base - so you'd reasonably expect more in tips on those. Therefore the potential income from tips outweighs the risk of "working for free". So the only complaint should be that its not high enough to offset the risk on a brand new site without traffic and/or a client base of any size.

I just find it amusing people get all "wtf" about it.

I'd have asked if there was a min payout. If it's $100 min payout, then you'd have to work a min 100 hours to guarantee you'd get that money. Of course you may get more in 1 tip, therefore get paid whatever hours, but... there's the chance you'd work 99 hours and never see it anyway. The same can happen on the other three I've mentioned as well (and for some, it does).

No, I'm pretty horrified about making $1 an hour from a site that I have never heard of before, that sounds like it does not want to pay its models easily. :) That is "wtf" worthy.

To me it’s like the difference between volunteering for a charity vs being offered “exposure” for working for free. Models working on sites with no traffic are effectively volunteering their time to help the site grow. Some might see long-term benefit in it but I find it more offensive if a site creates a budget to pay said models and decides their time is worth $1. That’s just silly. Either pay or don’t but a buck is an insult. Just like tipping your server a nickel sends a message.
