"Tumblr girl" now a MFC Model

Never liked being referred to as a tumblr girl but that's what some have called me so I'll go with it...

For almost a year now I've been running a sex blog on tumblr and I've really enjoyed my time there. My sexuality plays a big part of who I am and that was a place where I could express it in a fun and creative way. It's mostly a collection of porn found on tumblr, self shots(except for my face) and personal stories. I had always had so much fun but I would get too many request for masturbation videos and more explicit things that i didn't feel entirely comfortable with just throwing out there... after a year it stated to feel a bit tedious so I started considering joining a cam site. To get paid for something that I actually enjoy doing? Hell yeah!
When I decided to join MFC I let my followers on tumblr know (I have about 6,000) and many were supportive, followed me to MFC and some even tip when they can. Unfortunately many followers just lounge around as guest and I never hear from them. Oh well.
But I have decided to delete my tumblr sometime next month. It's not as fun for me as it was in the beginning and I feel like it's time to move on from it.
The reason for this post is so that who ever is interested in checking out my blog can do so before I get rid of it completely... I'd like to keep it to promote when I'm on MFC but I'm tired of those who simply join in as a guest and never contribute to my countdowns.

Many of us use tumblr as promotional! it can be a very helpful way of bringing in new members, as well as a way for the people you meet ON mfc to reach you outside of camming hours.

That said, absolutely. Get a twitter. Today. Right now. Use it! You can set tumblr up to auto post to your twitter.

Well I didn't spend a ton of time looking at your tumblr, but I liked what I saw quite a lot. There is a lot of good content there so I'd be in no hurry to delete it. As member, who knows a fair amount about marketing, but of course hasn't cammed a day in his here is my :twocents-02cents: worth a tad more than you paid for them. :-D

First 6,000 followers (+1) is a lot, it ranks right up there with some of the top models numbers of twitter followers. I'd be really loath to abandon that number of people who have signed up to read what you write, and ya quite a few to look at the hot pics , without making a big effort to monetize it. Instead of deleting the tumblr I'd transition your tumblr to blogging about your life as a cam girl. You are starting to do that but the last few weeks you entries are primarily devoted to telling people when you'll be on cam. Now this is important information, but twitter is much better communication tool than tumblr. (For one thing a lot of us check twitter from our phones not so much tumblr) . So I would start a twitter account and over time start moving all the info, about "I'm camming in a hour, buy me drinks and get me naked bb" to your twitter account. However, right now you'll want to post on both. (There are tools that make it is easy to update both). Unfortunately, telling people on I am going to cam soon doesn't make interesting blogging.

I am more inclined to be a regular of model who has a tumblr, than one who doesn't. It helps reinforce that this is a real person and not just another pair of nice tits. So in addition, to your normal musing about your pretty interesting sex life. Tell your tumblr readers about your experience on MFC what you hate, love, still need to learn etc. Got questions about other cam sites ask your tumblr readers to weigh in. Even if I spend a fair amount of time in Model's room, I'll generally miss a few hours, so I like to hear what happened. Big tips, rants about how rude people are, most embarrassing moment etc.

My favorite MFC model's tumblr is PlayboyMegans http://megan-medellin.tumblr.com/. In addition to posting her comments about camming, she gets a lot of mileage and a lot of laughs, but posting the stupidest comments she gets on her tumblr, facebook, and MFC and her witty responses on her tumblr. Sometimes I pop into her room just to talk about the dumb things people ask her, and you know what more often than not when I am in her room, I stay a while and tip her.

I'd also keep your tumblr because it is great place to tell people about your new content. Generally it is easier to update a tumblr than mfc profile, cause you don't need to be an html whiz. Eventually, you probably will be adding videos, pictures, maybe panties for sale as cam girl. Some of those 6,000 followers maybe interested in purchasing these items, even if they don't have interest in joining MFC. All you have to do is add a link to your tumblr from your MFC profile and you never have to hassle with trying to figure out how to put scrolling screen caps in your profile to show off your videos.

Finally, you need to do some selling to your tumblr followers for why they should come to MFC. Now I easily could have missed it, but I didn't see a post that talks about what MFC is, how your sign up, why you should spend money to become a premium. One of the obvious benefits for your tumblr follower is a chance to talk with you real time rather than just ask questions and read your posts. Plus as an added bonus they get to see your face and you naked. :mrgreen: I would also consider a special promotion for your tumblr followers (sign up for MFC) tip me X number of tokens, and I'll send you some hot pictures I never posted on my tumblr. Yes these same pictures can be part of your picture gallery on MFC...

Well I'm glad you enjoyed it lol and I see your point. I kinda just got tired of like 70% of my tumblr followers, some are just rude, annoying, demanding and needy. It would be a shame to get rid of ALL of them but some of them are quite rude about the having to pay thing...
I will take you advice and start blogging about camming more often and hopefully convince a few people to become premium members. I'm not toooo optimistic about that one but I will try!

Ok so I decided to keep my tumblr! I put up at the information I could about MFC and what I will be doing on there. I also discussed some changes. I've lost 9 followers... but it's cool. I could afford to loose some. Hopefully all this does help
I did make a twitter... so if any one want to follow me... it's in my signature!
