Can't decide if this is awesome or horrendous. It's definitely one of the two. Basically, during Dre's Coachella set the other night, Tupac appeared as a hologram and "performed" with Dre and co.

As a HUGE Tupac fan, I absolutely LOVED this. When I originally heard about it I had mixed feelings due to his beef with Dre when he passed and I did not believe he would have performed with Dre, but since it was Snoop I thought it was absolutely amazing. Totally kicking myself for not going.

Yeah, I read they were gonna do it with Tupac and Nate Dogg and it sounded like a terrible idea. It does look pretty awesome though. Apparently they're gonna take the Tupac hologram out on the next Dre/Snoop tour so you might get your chance to see it yet :)

I honestly don't think their beef would still be going on today.

I haven't listened to Tupac in a while, seeing this reminded me why I started liking rap in the first place. Been bumpin his shit the past few days.

It seems kind of tacky to me. Profiting off someone who has died isn't anything new, but it feels wrong. If he's not here to sign off on something, is it really fair to slap his face on it? I looked up the top earning dead celebrities, and his estate is listed as making 9mil a year and having a broadway play in the works.

Not a fan of turdpac or his style of music. I actually loathe it as a whole.

But the tech behind this is pretty fucking cool.

I laughed super hard because I am so fucking sure that Coachella (a bunch of white, well-to-do, pabst swilling, entitled hipsters, for the most part) is EXACTLY the audience Tupac was singing about/to.

The tech behind this is awesome, though.

It depends on how they use this going forward. If say they brought other dead acts back hologram style to perform with an artist for a song or a few when people paid to come see that artist it'd be cool and i'd have no problems with it. My fear, and I'm sure what will end up happening is the holograms become the artists that people pay to see and wind up dishing out a couple hundred bucks to see 'Young Elvis'!

They were talking about it on BET and said that over 10 million dollars was spent on the Tupac hologram. I was gonna say that I hope some of that money goes to his kid(s) (I could've sworn he had a daughter), but I was just checking online, and it sounds like people are unsure of whether or not he had kids.

I don't know much about Tupac's life. Biggie is the one I was a huge fan of.
