I accidentally created a regular user account on Stripchat before realizing that becoming a model requires a separate account registration.
The user account is currently using the username I intended to use for my model account. I also registered it with the email address I'd like to use for the model account.
And now, obviously, the user account is keeping those credentials "hostage" and I can't reuse them for the model account...
I've already gone through quite a few rounds of email support, but unfortunately I seem to have reached a dead end there.
Here's a quick summary of how that went:
- I asked if it'd be possible to convert my user account to a model account.
- I was told no.
- So I asked about completely deleting the user account to free the name/email up for a new account.
- After some back and forth, one support agent told me I could maybe try permanent deletion through GDPR, but...
- ...the very next agent told me this wouldn't work.
- They did at least tell me I could change the email on my user account and then use the "old" email again when making a new account, so that's something. (I haven't done that yet, but will if it comes to it.)
- Finally, I asked if buying an Ultimate membership and then renaming my user account would free the old name up, but apparently that doesn't work either.
So now I'm here, desperately hoping there's some way I can still get the name I was originally planning to use for a model account somehow freed up.
It was such a small (and easy, imo) mistake, and I kind of expected rectifying it would be as easy as 1 or 2 emails to support. But apparently not...
I'm honestly at the point now where I'd rather just not register a model account on SC at all if I can't get my username freed up for registration again.
Thank you for reading all of this! I'm really hoping there is some kind of solution to this whole thing.
