It's funny because though I'm a camgirl and don't ever feel "exploited" being a camgirl, I'm also on the fence about this one. I believe many magazines/glamour shoots and even newspapers very casually project women as a sex image and for sexual gratification. I also think a lot of porn is very degrading to women. Many of the girls who go into the glamour/porn industry are only just turned 18 when they do and really don't get treated very well or paid much and later regret it. I'm all happy with porn and sexy photo shoots, but I think the way it is done a lot of the time isn't right and does give a lot of men very negative views of women who are open with their sexuality.

Camming is different though. When I cam I'm interacting with the camera. I don't take bullshit, I'm clearly my own boss. If someone says something stupid I respond. I feel that camming shows women to be real people and not just sex objects. I always find it amazing that dudes with the attitude of sex workers being dirty whores or somehow less than other women can come to camsites and still have that opinion. I can only assume that these guys are close to being retarded and have no concept of reality. I hear camgirls talking about such intelligent stuff, completely in control of her own environment and the men around her whilst being sexy, fun and doing a whole load of different things at once and I wonder if the dudes who have that attitude just mute girls all the time or don't listen to a thing they say...

Camming is what porn and the glamour industry should be. Run by the women who they see. The sites themselves aren't actually run by women, but they tend to take a backseat and definitely never come across as derogatory (except for some of the sites weird adverts), so it means the way the women represent themselves is totally up to them. You haven't got some sleazeball behind the scenes writing a load of clearly-written-by-a-man drivvle, and we don't follow porn scripts that make us seem like we have zero braincells. I think it's much more realistic and much more healthy for men to see women for what they are. Not women's bodies with men's words.
