As snacks: cheese, ham, fuet, prawns, shrimp, olives, salmon... As a main dish fish (maybe hake) in sauce and for dessert cheesecake and profiteroles. For drink chestnuts wine.

For Christmas eve dinner my mother made ham, mashed potatoes, yeast rolls and green beans. For dessert we had wine, cheese, eggnog and I brought sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies. :D
For Christmas dinner, I stole leftovers and will be eating them in between watching movie marathons and camming. :D Go mama, your food tastes so much better because you cooked it!

Just finished mine...

Main: Roast chicken.. with stuffing, bread sauce, honey glazed baby carrots, peas, roasted potatoes and lovely thick gravy.

Dessert: A traditional steamed fruit Christmas pudding with a vanilla custard.

Now letting it all be digested with a nice glass or two of South African white wine while I'm watching the Christmas edition of Top Of The Pops on BBC1...

:-D :-D :-D Merry Christmas everyone... :hello2:

Everybody's looked so good! We had ours yesterday, and I made:

Roast Turkey (brined in an apple juice mixture)
Cornbread Dressing w/sausage, apples, & carrots
Giblet Gravy
Green Bean and Carrot saute
Herbed Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potato & Orange casserole
Those cheapo brown & serve rolls

I made two kinds of cranberry sauce, one was a cooked, whole berry sauce and the other was a fresh relish with cranberries, pears, and oranges.

Salad/Dessert: fresh fruit salad (tradition in my family for holidays)

Today: turkey sandwiches
Tomorrow: Turkey noodle soup!

Homemade deep dish pizza, not sure if we're having anything with it or not.

Last night we had:
pork chops
stuffing
sweet potatoes with marshmallows
fruit salad
green beans
egg noodles
giblet gravy
rolls

for desert we had ooey gooey butter cake

I need to stay out of this thread. It's making me hungry! Lol.

Hoagie sandwiches. Mine had black forest ham, provolone, colby cheese, green peppers, onions, dijion mustard and mayo. Effin' yum.

This year the family was 'gone a visitin' so it was just me and the puppies.
For us I cooked 6 filet mignon [bacon wrapped or course with garlic], made loaded baked potatoes, saute'd mushrooms and onions in a bourbon sauce and brocoli and cauliflower with cheese.
The pups each enjoyed their own filet. [hey, theyre family and its Christmas] If I didnt cut it up in small pcs, I'm sure they would have gulped them down whole....LOL My 3 filled me nicely and I have one left for a sammich tomorrow. :-D

Main :-
Roast pork shoulder on the bone and minted lamb on the bone,
Roast potatoes, cheesy mashed potato,
Boiled baby carrots and Boiled trimmed beans,
Mini Yorkshire puddings.
Thick bisto gravy.

For pudding :-

Chocolate cheesecake (at least half).

Will be watching Rise of the planet of the Apes on blue-ray while I get full up :-D
So where you live, dessert is named "pudding"? Here "pudding" is actually a dessert, not a name for the entire meal course. We have chocolate pudding, tapioca pudding, butterscotch pu.... well you get the hint. I thought this was cute.

We made pasta and garlic bread. We also watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes!! For my "pudding" I had a cookies n cream hershey's bar.

I'm from the UK too, everyone I know calls dessert "pudding".

"Where's me puddinnnnnng!" *Bangs hand on sofa armrest*

Christmas Eve (at home):
duck with orange/lemon/walnut sauce and bread dumplings.
For dessert: Cherry Crème brulée that my 15 year old, WoW playing little brother made all by himself ^_^ I'm sooo proud of the kid.

Yesterday (at my grandmother's):
roast pork and crackling (looked that up in a dictionary), mashed potatoes with mushroom sauce.
For dessert: Bailey's cake  and some sort of tangerine/cookie crumble creme that my mom made.

Last night I visited my good friend and cousin and at her place we had chocolate fondue with strawberries, pineapples, bananas and grapes.

I love Christmas food. I wouldn't mind having Christmas food every day. Where's the drooling smiley when you need it?

- Roasted lobster on garlic bread
- Rack of lamb with roasted potatoes, grilled tomatoes with cheese, stuffed grilled zucchini, grilled mushrooms, haricots wrapped in bacon and some special awesome sauce
- Homemade tiramisu and a dame blanche

We (my dad, my 2 brothers and me) love mom's cooking. We were 7 adults/3 children and she made enough for 11 adults/3 children. There was nothing left. 8-)

That'll be a extra week of jogging.
