I am writing to try to understand why a model I patronize was banned, and another suspended.
They were in a studio, and had been complaining bitterly about it for several weeks. They were making plans to leave,
at my urging, and were ready to leave after being paid, one of them in 2 days. The boss confiscated their phones, and
refused them their dinner. I suspected she had read some not-so-discreet PMs about their plans. The studio is in a
locked compound and they are not allowed to leave without the bosses permission. I became alarmed and made a sign for
them to display if they were cut off from all contact (I had purchased their WhatsApp numbers), or things got even worse. I didn't want to text
the contents, hoping C2C would escape the notice of their boss. The sign read:

WE ARE CAPTIVE
THEY TOOK OUR PHONES
WE HAVE NO FOOD
PLEASE CONTACT SUPPORT@CHATURBATE.COM

Shortly after I displayed the sign, the model in the room I did the C2C was banned, and the model viewing her
screen was suspended. They are both convinced it was because of the sign display. This is a reasonable assumption,
except before the C2C someone came into both rooms, within 3 seconds of each and posted,
"pm me or message pls i have offer $." The model that was banned asked this user to PM her, which he did, but immediately left.
The other model ignored her. I looked the user up. He/she has a broadcaster acount but has never broadcast and had only 7 followers.

If it was, indeed, because of the sign, I am puzzled as to why I, who made and displayed the sign, never suffered any consequences if it
was a policy violation. I was not even given a warning.

They were banned for leaving the studio and the studio manipulated documents because that's what studios do. Welcome to sex worker problems 101.
But they had not yet left the studio, in fact they are still there, cleaning and cooking for no pay. The ban came within an hour to minutes of the two incidents I mentioned. I am, however, aware of the retaliatory methods of studios as a friend of mine was banned by a studio the day she left., for an age violation. I believe the boss accessed her account and displayed her child. My friend was in transit.

So you already know the answer. There's nothing YOU can do anyway. They have to make their case to support.

Well, I try to not assume my belief is the only possibility and check with others who have greater experience or other vantage points. The two models are convinced it was because of the sign. I could not find anywhere that such a sign, showed in private, would constitute a policy violation, but maybe someone here knows otherwise.

As for their contacting support, their boss is handling all that, and for some reason they choose to believe what she tells them. I told one to read up on Stockholm syndrome.

Anything that is not allowed in public is not allowed in private, the same rules apply to every interaction on the site.

I see, thanks. I could not find anything indicating that describing the situation at a studio or asking to contact support@CB was a violation.

If they were captive they'd be constantly supervised. Sounds like you are mistaking the internet for reality, when IRL these girls are going home to their boyfriends while you have to buy time to talk to them and are plotting half-assed rescue plans
Yes, they are. There are CCTV cameras throughout the house. They are locked in a gated compound, the gatekeeper does not allow to them leave without first obtaining permission from their boss. I first became aware of this when a model was not allowed to leave to see a doctor. Since then I have seen permissions refused for a number of models at this studio. I asked my wife, who is an attorney about this and it falls under the category of false imprisonment in the US. They are in Kenya, so we are not familiar with the laws, but I asked a Kenyan human rights organization and they indicated they have similar prohibitions. This is not uncommon for studios there, although this is the most egregious violator I know of. They have four 4 bedroom houses. Each house holds 16 models. They sleep together and cam from the same room. The model who was suspended complained to me that she was yelled at for leaving her room and going to the kitchen to make tea. They do not go home to their boyfriends after work. The studio has them on call for 14 hours a day with a 1 1/2 hour break. After work they sleep, sometimes during as they are exhausted.

CB sees everything , and when they suspect model abuse the first thing they do is ban the model.
Very simple reason , if you can not work you can not be forced to work
They also may take action against the studio but it all depends on proof.

the best the model can do is mail support and explain it

That is an interesting approach, to punish the victim. Th two models are still working, unfortunately, but without pay. Their boss has them cooking and cleaning for the other models in the house. I wrote CB about another studio that was engaged in similar violations. They confiscated the models passports (a common condition for being accepted to work at a studio there as Kenyans need a passport to open a CB account). I had written to them describing this violation, which is a felony in Kenya and some other issues. They said they could not verify this. I sent them a WhatsApp message from the boss stating she did this as a matter of policy and would not return the passport until the model left. I also gave them the names of the models and told then they could verify that way as well. I never heard back from them.

ok now its more believable these kenya studios are out of control and they need to realize if they keep causing constant issues eventually CB is going to drop the whole country. Stripchat is blocking applications from kenya already right?
Yes, they cannot open accounts on StripChat. That is my one worry, I do not want to see CB ban Kenya. This is a good job for Kenyans, even at the low earnings they receive - Africans do not do as well as other groups, and the studio takes 69% of their tips. Some simple rules for studios that can be easily verified is not too much to ask.

I wouldn’t totally rule out that they’ve noticed you’re a very involved, super concerned customer, and are working their way up to asking you for financial “help.”
Sure, I know the routine. I have known the banned model for 3 months, she has never asked for anything other than a small sum of tokens to reach her target so that she could rest. I actually started a studio where we split the proceeds, and allow them to buy into the business, give the models a voice, don't take their passports, let them come and go freely, and choose their own hours. When they ask for money I tell them to go there.
