Because I sure would like to kick him in the balls... really, really hard!
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... clnk&gl=us

So now you have got started on MFC. Here are some practical tips how to up your game from now on. First of all, make sure you have a good connection and bandwidth. You will have to be able to open 20 to 30 PM pop-up windows with the girls webcam chat without lagging. Due to technical issues, it is always better to open your webcam after you started chatting with everyone as MFC often does not connect your camera feed if you first open your cam before doing anything else. Start the chat with New Models, they all have cam score 1000 so you'll find them on second page (or on first page during super slow days) and then proceed to your friends. Don't spend too much time on girls with 2000+ cam score as they often are too busy to talk.

Instead of visiting the lounge or girls rooms, I usually stay on the main page in order to see who's online and simply open PM pop-up windows from there. Some girls on MFC behave a bit irrationally, so they might block their PM function while you still see their cam in the pop-up window. They might even ban members for not chatting, even though the chat is not enabled. You will soon remember these girls and one choice is of course to watch them from the lounge (or simply not watch at all). I don't use the lounge very often but it is handy because girls cannot see that you are watching them. In any case, MFC usually has 1000+ models online so you can just ignore the difficult ones.

Payment periods for MFC models are 1st to 15th of every month and 16th to 30th/31st. The best time to visit MFC are the days closing in the cut-off with all girls naked online and things get a bit wild when everyone's trying to gather last tokens during the last few days. Reversely, the worst days are the following couple of days after cut-off as there are very few models online (but obviously the usual amount of members). Ironically, these particular days would be the best time for models to log in with much less competition but cam girls usually don't think that far ahead. It might be a good idea to stay out a day or two somewhere after the cut-off date.

Of course, girls' perception of a 'slow day' is quite the opposite, when there are 1500+ models online and crazy action in dozens of rooms that is a slow day for most models (as an individual model doesn't get as many tips as usual) while the total amount of tips is constant. I remember this one day MFC was like a circus, every other room had a shower show, oil show, lez show or what have you and one of the girls said "I've never seen MFC so quiet". Nowadays many models are complaining MFC is getting slower when in reality just more models log online and it is in fact getting busier.

Regarding the tips, be rational. You can tip the girl you like, but remember that once the girls notice you will tip them they are likely to send you PMs right away every time you log in. Look for East European, Continental Asian and Latin American girls for most friendly and fun moments. Try to avoid North American and Philipina girls as they usually don't make friendly conversation, although there are many exceptions. Western European girls are rare but they are good to find and play with.

His other post on that blog is even worse IMO.

What makes MFC so unique from anything else are the private messaging and member webcam functions. Models and Premium Members can really get to know each other (...) open your webcam and girls can see how you look (if you say something interesting they will open your cam) (...) You know, they will get naked eventually without you asking. (...) There are always girls who ask for tokens to open your cam once they notice your cam link but you can simply ignore them. (...)
Rating the girls 1 to 5 stars doesn't effect their cam score but it will show in the profile page. So you can rate 1 star and then ignore any girl who will ask for tokens to open your cam (...) You will never lose the benefits of becoming a premium account.
That whole thing is just so wrong, wow. One huge red flag after the other. I hope this guy never finds himself in my room, but he wouldn't have much fun there anyway :D

You gotta love how he is pretty much every model's nightmare (only watches in PM, is all about getting his cam watched for free, getting free PM access, rates 1* if he doesn't get free stuff, sees tipping as something that should be avoided, thinks he's more important than he is (omg if I tip I'll suddenly find myself covered in PMs from models!!!) etc., etc.) but still thinks he's in a position to give others advice.

I know I probably shouldn't have even given this dill hole the attention, but I just couldn't help myself.

I hope in these situations that the person is joking. I mean, I understand that there are dudes who patrol myfreecams this way... but to be so adamant about it... to the point of actually writing posts along these lines trying to "teach" others, I just find it so hard to believe that a person truly could be this sad. I mean seriously, get a life!!

It's not just that, it's just, are these dudes actually retarded? I mean it really doesn't take a genius to work out that camgirls go on cam for money, it's a job, so no, if a camgirl wants to be tipped for one on one attention then it's not her being "difficult", it's that she doesn't have any interest in having long interactions with strangers who aren't ever going to tip her. It makes total sense. I mean I can understand from a freeloaders point of view that they might enjoy that feature to be free, because hey, who wants to spend money on stuff? Everyone likes free stuff. But them not understanding why they can't get in on these features for free? I mean you surely would have to have part of your brain missing to not understand that. So why do they act like they don't understand? Are they truly that stupid or do they somehow think if they shout loud enough about it and enough people hear them then somehow the world will change and will start revolving around them, when all models are desperate to talk to them for free and can't wait to see their cock on camera, even though they have no idea who the dudes is.

A better question is who needs advice on how to use an adult site. I never had to look up a FAQ on how to watch cam models, although I do get accused of doing it wrong sometimes.

Ha, I should know better than to disagree with a post with so many thanks but so be it.

On the surface a funny comment. 'who needs advice on how to use an adult site.'

Personally I think there could be an ebook. (No, not Fapping for Dummies)

Aren't there things as a premium you've only learned by reading here? Or by asking others? Or hanging out in the lounge?
This site even has a 'how to be an awesome premium' thread.

while not everyone wants to read a manual (or even the bad help wiki on mfc), some do. Some even like to gather in online forums and talk about their use of a porn site. weird.

edit - dont take my defense of FAQ for MFC in general to be a defense of the clown linked in the original post.

So now you've set up an account on MFC, here are some practical tips to up your game, yo. Upping one's game is a very important endeavour when watching cam girls do their thang. Some people might think that it's enough to just log on and enjoy themselves in the company of exotic women but you and I, we know that's not true. We know the importance of treating adult entertainment as if it's work, and here I will share with you the best way to do that.

Firstly, make sure you have a rocking internet connection. Your bandwidth is gonna be tested as we'll be keeping 20-30 PM windows open at a time. "What is this madness?" I hear you ask. "Surely I'll enjoy myself more if I'm able to concentrate on one model at a time, take in her show, talk to her and get to know her a little, soak up the ambiance of her room...". Fuck that noise, I say. No, 20-30 open PM windows is optimal. We're upping our game here, not sitting back and enjoying ourselves.

You'll want to target the new models first as these models will be more likely to put up with your annoying bullshit as they're yet to get to grips with how the site works. Try to avoid models with a higher camscore as those bitches be wack. They're so irrational that some of them don't allow members who aren't in the same room as them and who haven't taken the time to get to know them or tipped to be on their friends list to take their attention away from tipping members by spamming their PM box with inane shit. Fuck these models. In order to up our game we need to concentrate on the models who don't know any better than to humour us as we bombard them with game changing, next level awesomeness - I'm talking dick pics, requests for free content, offers to meet up and make fucky wucky... alpha shit, bro.

Regarding tips, be rational. There are those that argue that if you're taking up a model's time, enjoying her show, or getting any entertainment at all out of her being on cam, you should tip something. But these people are not upping their game like you and I. We know that we don't have to tip. We also know that the second we do tip, we're gonna be knee deep in PMs from crazy models who expect us to tip them again. When you have 30 PM windows open for no apparent reason, you just can't afford to risk a model sending you a barrage of PMs. 30 PM windows is cool. 31 PM windows is a mug's game. Don't let these women mug you off. We rule this game. Not them.

Self-entitlement. Brace yourself...you'll probably see a lot of it this Veterans Day weekend from members claiming to be war veterans. :) Instead of "My mom has cancer, and seeing your tits would make me feel better," it'll be "I fought for your country, ma...don't I deserve something for that?"

A cam girl is supposed to show her ass for free when a member asks because it's part of her job. And if she doesn't do it for free, then she's just a greedy "token whore" who's only in it for the money. LOL...

To be honest, I think although it's cool gathering info and finding stuff out, no one should really need to read up on how to use a site like mfc. Especially not a totally opinionated, biased view from some random idiot.

Myfreecams has a LOT of traffic out there. What many members, like this dude, seem to not be able to understand is that all of those members are totally different!

Sure, you get different categories of members, but even in those "categories", all the members have different preferences (not just looks based), different lifestyles, nationalities, cultures, interests, lives and reason's for coming to a site like myfreecams.

Dudes like this seem to assume that every member wants the same things as they want. Meaning they think the dudes who actually get close to the models and tip them are retarded, because why are they paying when they could get what that dude's getting for free?!
They might not realise that for some members they enjoy the thrill of tipping a pretty girl and having them laugh and smile and genuinely appreciate them for it, for those members, the joy of freeloading just doesn't have the same buzz.

For some dudes, they seem to enjoy the thrill of trying to get models to do stuff for free. I don't think it's necessarily the act, it's the kick they get out of it. I think this member is probably one of those. These members will get really vicious with models when they don't allow them to have that power over them. I don't know if being nasty and doing things like 1 star rating them is also giving them some sort of thrill, but maybe it makes them feel important. Kind of in the same way that rape isn't generally about sex, it's about power. With some of these guys (though I'm not saying they're rapists), they enjoy the same kind of thrill in trying to have power over a model in an unpleasant way, trying to make her do things for free when they know she wants to be paid. It's a way for these guys to get total power over a girl and try and get under her skin, but because it's all online they feel safe, and they don't feel like such bastards as they might if they did it to a real life girl.

For most of my regulars the idea of patrolling myfreecams in this way would not only seem really boring, it'd make them feel awful, they'd hate it. It's not what they want to do, which is exactly why they don't do it. It's not a hard concept to understand, everyone is different. It's best to pay attention to what you're doing than always worry about what everyone else is doing.

Edit to add: Oh and Bob, I love it when you do that bb :D

REAL veterans would probably never do that, but if they continue to argue... tell them to show you what it says in block 13 of their DD214. There is no personal identification risk of that.

Tell 'em to prove it by showing their Active Duty ID, they can cover their name and DOD # if they want. Should look something like this:

Of course, you're taking the risk of opening their cam only to see their junk, lol

If they were awarded the Medal of Honor it might narrow it down a bit.

As a veteran, it pisses me off to no end, that other veterans might expect something for their service. The thanks of a grateful nation should be plenty.

REAL veterans would probably never do that,
I'd like to hope so, but remember, there are ass holes of this caliber in all walks of life and in EVERY profession.

You clearly haven't met many soldiers. I live in a college town not too far from a base. The soldiers here have a VERY strong sense of entitlement. The base actually has an agreement with some bars that those bars are now "blacklisted" (meaning they would get in trouble with their unit for going to the bars) for all their soldiers because the bars had too many problems with soldiers starting fights or demanding free drinks or not tipping because "I keep you safe, you owe me".

My father's generation of veterans might not be like that but the younger generation is.

Same here. College town, base nearby. Ditto, confirmed, and so on.

Grew up around the corner from--and still live near a large military base. So I'll give a third confirmation that such a sense of entitlement is openly displayed at many of the local businesses on a regular basis.

That said, I know/have seen many veterans and active military personnel that conduct themselves in a truly exemplary manner in terms of their interaction with our community which they are stationed in--I encounter soldiers in uniform at gas stations and convenience stores on a daily basis--and for the most part these folks embody respect and pure class.

As mentioned above, it's like any other profession: there are both wonderful people and terrible ones--and plenty that fall somewhere in-between. I think it's great that some businesses want to provide benefits/perks to veterans/military personnel, but it's kind of silly for this to expected of any given business or service provider--especially independent contractors such as cam models.

You clearly need to re-think that statement.

I do get your and other's point though, and it saddens me greatly. The scumbags that use their military service for cheap personal gratification are the lowest of the low.

I feel like different generations of veterans/soldiers are being discussed here. I'm willing to bet the younger generations currently feel a bit of extra self-entitlement, and the more seasoned veterans that have more years of life under their belt have a bit more respect. Sometimes I do believe that with age comes sensibility and more smarts when it comes to manners.

It's way more than "and the more seasoned veterans that more years of life under their belt have a bit more respect."

It's also the major fundamental parenting fails that kids are growing up with.

That's also what I referenced by the generation gap. There is a big reason why I get along so well with gentlemen that are a bit older than me. They're more respectful in many circumstances than a good amount of younger guys just due to the era they were raised in, among other factors.

How dare you even hint at me being a gentleman!

Respect is something that shouldn't be generational, it should be earned and learned by example.

Keyword: "should." Should is not the same as "is."

Since military men come from the same population as civilians, I'd expect behavior to reflect whatever is going on currently with the civilian population.

But as far as generational differences, I think the idea of "the younger generation is screwed up" probably goes back to before Aristotle. Douche bags existed way back to cave men I imagine, even before real douche bags existed. Personally, I think we get this idea because it's so easy to forget what happened in our own time of youth.
