She plans to use the money to build houses for poor people in her home area. The whole thing, except for the intercourse, is being filmed by an Australian production company for a documentary film called “Virgins Wanted.”

I guess I'm weird, but I thought it was hilarious that the girl got $780,000 and a virgin dude only got $3000!

amen boce! who the heck wants to spend all that time and energy for a lousy lay? ok, yeah a lot of people, but thats more for the stroking of their own ego than because of some desire to make a person's first time gentle, pleasant and enjoyable for them. all that being said, good on them ozzies!

Dang. And I gave mine away for free.

i think its a power thing.. women tend to be emotional about their first time.. and therefor alot of guys assume they will be viewed as some god that did her good...

edit: or maybe he just sucks at sex.. and virgins are the only women who will notice.. haha

Yeah, I saw something about this watching the Philip DeFranco Show from last night... and I was surprised he even got $3000 for it. I also couldn't imagine being the buyer who put up 3/4ths of a million for her virginity so yeah. It just doesn't make sense to me that this is a thing. I'll be content in my ignorance of why such a thing exists.

This was literally my very first thought.
There are guys who have paid to lose theirs. Go figure. :p

Bah, don't say you gave it away for free ladies! Unless the guy didn't buy you dinner, or give you any attention at all. Then you gave it away for free.

Me, I gave mine away for a lot of attention, a lot of self-esteem boosters, and a riddance of many of my body-issues. Good trade!

Maybe I'm a Scrooge, but I would feel better about this if she was keeping the money for herself. :?

Dang, mine really was given away for free because I had no flippin idea what was going on. I could have made money off that awful experience? Shit....It would have been so awful if I'd have at least gotten a cookie or something for it. :icon-cry:

Cookie for virginity bb?

Sorry southsamuri. My goose is already cooked. :( I'll still take that cookie though. Just be prepared to work around my large middle if you expect any sexytimes.

I wish I would have kept my virginity and sold it... Is that unethical?

Virginity is pretty expensive, and I gave it away for free! I feel like I got jipped out of being set for life.

No kidding, I'm not picky I would have said tyvm for the $3000

Evidently Brazil doesn't have prostitution laws, except for it being illegal to own a brothel. Cause this auctioning off virginity has been such tried in dozens place including all of the US auctions sites but always quickly shut down. The difference in price doesn't surprise me at at all. Pretty much the only way men make money in the sex business, is as pimps, porn producers, cam site operators of course, or gay prostitutes and gay porn stars. Woman just don't pay nearly as much for sex as men. There oughta be a pay equality law

If you had no idea what was going on, then you didn't really give it did you? Sounds like we lost ours in a similar ways. We didn't give it, it was taken.

Don't buy into the slut shaming culture, when you have no idea what is going on then, you should never refer to it as being given, just my honest opinion.

Sorry if I come off strongly but being "robbed" (I'm sorry I hate using the other R word, makes me want to cry. :icon-cry:) multiple times and going through years of anxiety and night terrors have made me this way. I just don't believe it should be made out to be so casual when you've been taken advantage of... to actually say it was given just leads stupid people to believe it was the victims own fault. A guilt I lived with for a very long time.

What would make it different than escorting really? As long as it's between two consenting adults, I don't really see whats unethical about wanting to make the most money you can in the world's oldest profession.

In a relationship, the person who cares less about it is the one who controls it.

In the sex business, men care more about sex than women in most instances, which is why it's easier for a woman to charge a man a lot of money for sex. However, in some instances, a woman will need it more than the man. In those instances, the man can charge the woman.

As it stands, adult entertainment is the only industry in which women are paid more than men. When women are paid as much as men across the rest of the board, men can charge as much as a woman does for sex.

I wonder if my price of free is too low. Maybe if I raised it some I would give the appearance of quality, sorta like Apples strategy of overcharging their customers.
yeah, there was a game developer (selling in iStore or whatever actually) who, as an experiment released his game for $15. Sold like 50, 60 copies the first day. Then he increased the price each day and found when it was at like $60 it sold WAY more copies than it at $15. A couple of people even bought it for $600.

Course higher price also causes higher expectation of quality and stronger dissatisfaction if they feel ripped off, but to a certain extent giving your product a fair price, as opposed to a damn low price, is a statement that you feel your (whatever you're selling) is worth something.

No, mine wasn't taken from me. I simply had no sex education whatsoever and didn't know what sex was. I learned by doing. Honestly, I didn't even know I had a 'hole' down there at the time. My parents thought it was best to teach about sex right before your wedding night.

Had to laugh at her analogy of not being a prostitute if she has sex for money once because taking one photo doesn't make you a photographer.

Starring in one hit porno flick doesn't make you a porn star.

Oh wait. Sometimes it does! :woops:

(not that I think what she did would be considered prostitution,
nor do I think that people who take pictures in general could ever be considered "photographers")

With modern medicine all women can now sell their virginity.

Sex toys will be banned from use and a condom will be compulsory, with Catarina saying she was prepared to prove to any sceptics that she has not had sex before.

That is not possible, unless she is only referring to vaginal intercourse and that is still possible without breaking the hymen.

That is the weird thing about this to me. What is the allure? I suppose the fantasy is to be someones first sexual partner but there is no way to definitely prove they were the first. Especially if you define sex as more than just vaginal intercourse. I guess my take on this is, I would much rather be someones last sexual partner than their first.

For $780,000 I would proudly call myself a very successful, retired prostitute who paid for her car, home and education with cash to anyone who listened.

WOW you didn't know about your 'funhole' until the night before your wedding??! I hope since you're having a baby, pregnancy was explained in detail :p

Lol well considering I'm still not legally married, no. :) After Halloween night I'll report back and tell you whether or not I learned about my vagina as Mrs. BJ. :p

Sadly, my parents still refuse to talk to me about pregnancy so it's a good thing I know how to do my research. One of my 'conditions' I actually had to explain to them because they didn't know about it. Luckily my parents are now both fixed so they can't produce any more ignorant children.
