Don't get me wrong, I love those creepy man-eating corpses. But I'm getting tired of Every. Fucking. Thing. being zombified. It seems every damn game now has a "zombie expansion version," two or three movies a week (not good ones), television, books, internet...... for fuck's sake! Zombie media has become zombified!
I was happy to see zombies get their renaissance, but it's gone into overdrive with everyone looking to cash in.

The one positive of this, however, is seeing less of Twilight bullshit.

Yeah agreed, it's seriously everywhere. On a forum the other day discussing DLC/mods for Warhammer 40k Space Marine someone suggested a zombie mod...like there's a ton of enemies they could use in the lore of the 40k universe why the fuck would they have to invent zombies for it!

Last year this was held on BJ's birthday so we weren't able to attend our local one; year before that I was too young. This year I'll be at a memorial for the woman who raised me so I won't be able to attend again. Maybe I'll have better luck next year. It would be fun to be a real life Zombie Stripper. (And I agree about the over zombie-fication going on)

I think I might have a panic attack to see 100s of zombies walking down the street. When I start getting into crazy-person-hermit mode, I start stockpiling food and ordering survival gear off the internet in preparation of apocalypse, which may or may not involve reanimated corpses.

I couldn't find anything about Zombie Day for Chicago. Flynt, Michigan is in on it, but not Chicago? Impressive.

There is a similar thing sponsored by Reapers Realm in Chicago, for anyone else in the greater Chicagoland area on Oct 10. Totally would do the zombie pinup thing.
