If the bigger camsites would take action against the auto capping sites hiding face would not be such a deal like it has become.

The internet is WAY to big for that. Protection and security is always a cat/mouse industry. They luck enough there are even basic legal rules that can be used to do anything at all (DMCA takedowns).

Hiding face is only a big deal for people that make it a big deal. If safety was completely guaranteed in this industry nobody would be make as much money because it would be flood with may times more models.

Psychology plays a big role here and don't forget there are many, many girls who didn't even know what kind of sites they work on (i was recruited for a site "like facebook" by my former studio too). So seeing the auto capping sites changes that majorly and in much bigger scale than finding one vid on pornhub. In my old studio i'd say 8 out 10 started hiding their face then. You will just only very rarely hear from any of these girls here. Chaturbate has the technology to make it harder, i hope they give girls the possibility to use it.

i watch male cams and i dont watch those who dont show their faces they cant be my fetish but there are some men who dont show their faces but get some tips they usually have muscular build bodies and they are naked. others dont show face on public chat room only on private shows or if u tip for them to show it. if not showing face does not work well for u try showing it may help attract viewers and tippers.

In combination, it does seem like this puts you at a very serious disadvantage. No face makes it nearly impossible to have a social room, and the others make it hard to have an all-sex room. You're left with either tease or talents (Twitch Creative type stuff - music, art, crafts, etc) or both. I'd think about whether there are fetish clips you'd be willing to do on clips4sale, or non-adult streaming (Twitch), where you'd likely be comfortable showing your face, or just other online work in general (Fiverr, MTurk, etc).

This is why I worry a little bit that the generation of girls stripping through college has given way to a generation of girls camming through college; a lot of young women I know who tried cam for a few months and aren't making it their life's mission now have videos and photos out there forever that they may regret. As much as we say "don't cam unless you're prepared to deal with the consequences", there's still tons of people who freak out when they find themselves on PornHub or come to realize that it really truly is not undoable. You can get outted doing any kind of sex work but you certainly can't deny video proof like you can "my neighbour saw you stripping".

This also applies to party videos posted to facebook, or other social media places. Or, any video which maybe shouldn't be posted at all. I'm so glad that I grew up before digital media/cameras became so easy to come by...
