Do likes and dislikes directly influence a model’s placement in search results or general visibility on the site? Is there an optimal like/dislike ratio to maintain? Also, in cases of negative engagement, is there a risk of shadowbanning? If so, is the shadowban tied to the specific account or to the identity/documentation of the account holder? And lastly, if a model deletes an account that has a high number of dislikes, would that help improve the performance or visibility of a new account created under the same identity?

there is no such thing as shadowbanning on chaturbate. they will flat-out ban you for breaking tos.

Chaturbate does not shadow ban. It's not Instagram. However, if your percentage falls below what CB deems satisfactory, users will receive a warning to tip at their own risk.

NO ONE (especially the people on this forum)
knows the actual algo weights or all of the criteria used in the metrics for page rank and no one from CB is going to inform you of them, either. You will simply receive a "your room was appropriately ranked," message from support.

It can, I am fairly certain that anything below 87% is severe positional penalty (it's not a shadowban), some people believe 94% and under has some positional penalty.

Delete the account? Goodness, how did you get so negative that you are considering deleting? Just try to remind people to give you a thumbs up.

Missed that part the first read. Yeah, deleting your account won't help. You just need better PR (public relations).

The fact is.. if you have so many dislikes now, surely you'd get the same on your new account, so regardless of the fact you keep this and improve or make a new one, fix the problem or try figure out what it is (if you don't know already) why it's happening.

Ha, "so many" could be "three". And it happens, mostly, because guys want ridiculous shit for free and then down vote. Countered with how many people don't actually vote at all even though they tipped...to have a voluntary action count in rank seems really stupid to me and would have the lowest value in counting page rank if any at all but people who think they have magic mirrors disagree with me sooo, whatever.

Fact of the matter is page rank has nothing to do with actual earnings, there's token recycling happening in the top rooms and all kinds of other things that are more important than some rando dude's opinion. If thumbs up/down DOES count in page rank then I hearby formally demand from Chaturbate that the minimum amount to cast such a vote be raised to 100 tokens @punker barbie

If I have to pay, at minimum, 50 tokens to promote my room to the main page of the site, it should cost more than that for someone to be able to PREVENT me from reaching that spot.

Oh, no doubt they are most likely for dumb reasons. I have honestly never seen legit reasons for why people dislike/downvote a model. It's always them wanting the model to do something (usually a free PM) while the model is clearly busy doing a request or goal.

Apologies, I'm not trying to make you my whipping boy here. This topic just really pisses me right the fuck off. I was against it when it was instituted and I'm still against it now. It's dumb high school shit and that the votes last for 90 days is even more ridiculous. 90 days is a long long long time in the cam world. A long fucking time.

Hey no worries, I didn't take it personally or anything.
I do agree that it's a stupid way for them doing it on CB, i do actually like the way other sites (SC) do it, where the user actually has to have a private show to leave a rating/review for the model
