I have been wondering this for many years.

You are sitting in your room, someone comes in, and they chat for 3 hours or more, and they only tip under 150 tokens in total, stating how this is all they can afford. They are polite and not being a jack ass, but hours go by, and you get no other tips from anyone else. Do you tell this person "hey, this is my income, I am trying to pay the bills, and you seem nice, but this is a business, and I am trying to make money, and $2 an hour is not helping me." or do you ban them thinking they are just trying to be cheap anyway, or are these small tips helping at all? they kill our camscore, they obviously do not help with ranks or goals, so when someone is in the room tipping very little, have you found that it makes others not want to tip big or clear the goals? or does it help others want to tip more?

What have you found when it comes to members who tip very little? and thank you for your time!

Going to elaborate on my thoughts, but just wanted to make sure you knew that this is not true. Every token helps your camscore, it's just tokens/time broadcasting over a 60-day average. Size of tip doesn't have an effect.

So, that means if you were broadcasting anyway, any tip is a helpful tip. And bonus if the person was making chit-chat that you enjoy which at least keeps you looking engaged and awake :)

This is the detail you have to take into consideration. If an hour has gone by and they're the only person tipping, I'd consider taking a break and coming back later in hopes that there's a bigger crowd of people with tokens.

Do you tell this person "hey, this is my income, I am trying to pay the bills, and you seem nice, but this is a business, and I am trying to make money, and $2 an hour is not helping me."
It'd be better to say "hey I've had fun chatting with you but since I am not making progress in my token goals today I may have to take a break if things don't pick up."

do you ban them thinking they are just trying to be cheap anyway
That's way too drastic if they were being polite and engaging you in friendly chat.

Tips beget tips, so I stand by the anything is better than nothing. It also depends on how you're chatting to your entire chat room. If you're just focusing on the one guy and not making any effort to open up conversation or opportunities for others, then you're letting it be a problem. Try to adjust your mindset. Take something you're talking to them about it and turn it into an ice breaker for other people to jump in. I've found talking about comedy/movies/food is a great way to get others to chime in, and often when people start talking, they feel obligated to tip at least a bit.

And don't forget to mention your current token goal for whatever show, or that you'd love to do a private/group to encourage the quiet ones to pitch in.

By the way this is ALL assuming you're chatting in the main chatroom and replying verbally, NOT typing in a PM window with them. THAT is key. Do not sit in PM chat with a tiny tipper, divert attention back to your main chat room and reply with your voice.

Yes it was in the public chat, and not sitting in pm chat with a tiny tipper makes sense!
